Hey Riot, if you really want to keep DynQ, at least get rid of 4-man's.

Like it says in the title. If you were to get rid of 4-man's, then it could open up much more possibilities. For example, duo's and 3-man's can be put together on the same team more often, so solo players could be possibly be matched up more against actual solo players.

Just a suggestion, I don't know if this would make the que times worse or better. As of right now however, due to the fact that there are 4-man que's, it really pushes the fact that there needs to be solo players in order for DynQ to work. Getting rid of 4-man's can maybe change that.

Nothing about allowing any amount of players to play together makes any sense to begin with in a ranked MM.

Nah.

For a solo, is not like 3man are " more acceptable" than 4.

And a duo+trio vs duo+trio with matching roles will be what... like a 2h queue?

Why make an awkward void that interferes with groups of friends playing together when it doesn't happen that often relative to solo players? We're talking about mildly reducing the agency of solo players 1 in like 150 games, and not even much more than it would be when they're grouped with trios which you consider acceptable in order to enable thousands of groups of friends from having to make a tough choice of who to cut when playing a game.

Duos and Trios surviving without solos is a misnomer, trios are far less common than duos and matchmaking would need to fill in the gaps with solo players or else duos would experience very long queue times, probably around half an hour or more.

I agree, its just the most awkward thing when you are the odd one out, and when everyone on your team sides against you in conflict because everyone else besides you is their friend. On top of not having proper 5-way communication, some teams just do everything verbally and almost never ping. That would be an annoying instance. tl;dr Yeah, that sounds good =)

I think that quads and quints are too much. Trio I can let slide.

Do people even play ranked 5s anymore?

I'm not sure exactly how it could make queue times better, but I think this would be a decent compromise to the "play with groups of friends" vs "pure solo" argument.
