Talon W SFX
Before Talon's rework, if he made contact with an enemy, be it a minion, monster, or champion, he would hear a cutting noise indicating that he went through something. It did not matter if you had vision of the enemy, you would hear a sound to indicate something was hit. This was nice, it let you hear that you are indeed hitting things in lane, but its main use was that if you wanted to see if a blue was somewhere behind a wall, you could throw your W. If you were chasing a target and wanted to hear that they are still in that brush (or if they have allies), you could. If you suspected a person was in the brush trying to surprise you, you could.
However now, there is no sound on hitting an enemy without vision, to my knowledge. It makes no sounds if you hit someone indicating their existence. This is incredibly frustrating when you W a brush and cannot tell if there is 0, 1, 2, or even 5 enemies in it. It deals the damage, applies the passive, and gives them a slow, but you don't know that. This is not in line with other abilities, such as a Yasuo Tornado (or Q in general) which will make the sound upon contact with an enemy. There are other abilities that do this as well, but I want to keep this short. In essence, it lost a facet of it that added to some quality of life without exactly being overpowered and being consistent if anything.
While the W having a delayed return time is ok, the fact that it slows only on return is ok, and the narrow but long cone is ok, I do not enjoy the lack of a sound effect on hitting an enemy without vision. I wish that this could be added back.
TL;DR: Pre-rework, Talon W made a sound if it hit an enemy (think Yasuo Q). This was useful as both a scouting and chasing quality of life feature, since it simply let you know about hitting something without vision of it. With his rework, this sound is gone without vision and it is quite frustrating during chases or checking if a blue buff is available over a wall. All things that are reasonable to be able to do but are no longer available to gain information, and I would like it back.
Edit: Minor tweaks to previous statements, but also putting in videos for the sake of hearing the sound. This is the best video to showcase it. I know they have different throw and return sounds, but you can still hear the minion hitting sound: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0ebMHGUOdE
While this wasn't showing it from stealth, it still displays the noticeable sound that it made. This was nice for scouting, it lets you hear that you hit something, and is nice to know what is ahead of you. You also notice that it increased from hitting more targets, helping with knowing an amount that were hit and knowing if you are about to be jumped by the enemy. However now, while there still is a slight sound upon hitting an enemy with vision, it is nonexistant on targets that you lack vision on. Unforunately, I cannot find a video containing this at the moment, but I assure you that it is this way. You can test it if you would like.
