MMR in League!

Hello, first time writing on the boards on league. I just wanted to ask a question and I'd like some feedback! ☺ okay, so I never played during season 2 but I have seen pictures and talked to people who have played during season 2. I see that before you could actually see your actual MMR which in my opinion sounds fantastic! Now, they replaced it with divisions that isn't even accurate! I recently got in contact with Riot and they said, 'However, this is hidden to all players. It is hidden to prevent abuse.' How did people abuse the system, that I'd like to know. season five, I ended with Gold 2 but my MMR was high because I was facing high Platinum's. How did I know that? Well I had to use a third party site like many others to figure out what divisions I'm facing. Riot, took that right from us, from knowing where our account actually stands! What I Mean by this is this, you could be gold 5 but facing low silvers. Well, Riot took that option from us to be able to see our MMR so how would that gold 5 know that he's facing low silvers? Well he wouldn't.... unless, you pull up a browser and use a third party site like 'lol nexus' to figure out what type of elo your facing and be aware! I play a lot of rank, well, I've been playing rank since season 3 and rank is why I play league. I use rank to improve my self, and I'm all about that solo queue, not that duo queue. I like how their bringing solo queue back because I don't even know why they removed it and dynamic queue seems to be okay but as long it doesn't interfere with your solo queue MMR. Now, I'd like to have the MMR back because I believe we are entitled to know where we actually stand and not just cover it with a division. I'm okay with having divisions but the problem is that we don't know if our account's MMR is actually in that division. Please leave your opinions and feedback. Hopefully, Riot will see this and comment because that I'd the objective right? Also, make sure to upvote this thread so Riot has a higher chance of seeing it!
