Why don't low Elo Players have more balanced itemization?
Hi There League Players!
I have noticed in low elo (Iron II and III) That players almost always go with the recommended build which seemed to be geared towards snowballing and not late mid to late game team play. This is very annoying for an ADC who relies on other team players who can take a couple shots in the front line (or at least the temporary front line) to make any real difference once farmed up and with a few good items. Even me playing Ashe or Kai Sa seem to benefit from at least one health/armor item as early as before mid-game. Not only does an item or two that deviates from the recommended build provide survivability for ADCs and damage potential for tanks it changes the meta slightly and the opposing team is caught off-guard (i.e. a Tryndamere that doesn't die right away or after a Zhonya's play) I think the same can be said for off-meta position plays such as ADC jungle and the like. I know in higher elo it's important to maximize potential of a character, but in low elo it seems like the off-putting nature of off-meta playstyles outweighs the dangers of cliche playstyles and the trend of glass-cannon ADCs and Dumb-as-a-rock (sorry malphite) tanks. What are your thoughts low and maybe even higher elo players? Will the touching on this kind of thinking improve my teammates in iron rank so I can climb elo finally? I carry almost every game and yes I know about farm and objectives and vision being important. I do everything I can and still everyone seems to just be predictable in their build paths and gets obliterated in mid to late game by opposing players who at least know the mechanics of each champ so far as to mold their team-fighting style around the "reliable probability" that Tyndamere will rely on his ult, Ashe will explode if dove, Kai' Sa will drown if surrounded, and all the other "meta-certainties" that any mediocre player can maximize on. Thanks for your thoughts go ahead and say I'm crazy I want to hear the other side of the argument as well!
