Teamates trolling with new jungle item changes

This should come under player behaviour as well as gameplay.

Before I had no problem with my laners taking a camp or two, but now having machete means I only get 4 gold from each minion this is just straight up trolling. It is more beneficial for me to get the camps and for my laners to get the minions, but obviously no one reads the patch notes or gives a **** about junglers since they do it anyway. Really great change Riot (sarcasm).

This was to stop boosting and the only time I saw this was with Twitch / Lulu or Master Yi / Taric so obviously with only 4 champions abusing this strategy there were other ways to fix this, rather than making it so junglers that don't have to upgrade machete (rengar, shaco etc) get ****ed hard.

TL:DR if laners take your camps, you're left with only minions which give you 4 gold a piece (whereas laners get more than quadruple this amount) but they still take them anyway either because they're trolling or because they did not read the patch notes

  1. The jungle debuff only occurs when you, the jungler, have the most individual gold on the team.
  2. The debuff goes away when you finish your item
  3. You are most certainly right that the jungle belongs to the jungle. But theres no way to enforce that.

Last 10 or so games I've played this has come into effect. I've been getting 4 gold from minions while being very fed as Rengar/Shaco but my team still continues to take my camps anyway.

So...you go around solo killing everyone, starving your team of assist or farm gold and hope you don't die ever so they enemy team gets a giant bounty and most off your team's gold off the board? Let them take your camps mate. Spreading out team gold when you are (the only one) ahead helps a LOT.

I find, that when laners start taking camps, they either feel very behind, the jungler is on the other side of the map, or they can't safely get lane farm. Check and address those things first.

I'm currently smurfing so I trust myself to carry games and usually do. Nothing you've said justifies my teamates taking my camps when they get 4x more gold than I do for each minion. Even if they can't farm lane they should just sit under tower and soak XP, I will gank that's what junglers do. There is no need to take my camps especially under these conditions where I (I'll say it again for the millionth time) get 4x less gold for minions than they do.

Yeah, you lost all credibility at those first 3 words. If you are consciously playing games with people of a much lower skill level, you have NO RIGHT to complain about said skill level and however it may express itself.

Stop whining, and either finish your jungle item with your lead(because you are actively gimping yourself and your teammates), or climb to an elo where they know to play around your choice not too.

You tell them no? You try completing your jungle item? You try not pushing out the lane?

Generally speaking, when laners take camps its because theres no other safe income.

Yes I told them not to but of course they don't listen, when I tell them not to they feel more inclined to take them even more. Here's an idea, sit under tower, get XP and whatever farm you can and wait for me to gank instead of losing your tower for no reason, leaving me with minions that give me 1/4th less gold than you and stop trolling. Jesus is this hard to understand?

I mean... If youre so far ahead why dont you finish your jungle item? I know its "the shaco build" to only get machete then rush tiamat into dusk blade, but if youre really this upset over it.... Finish the item?

Why the hell should I have to when they can revert this stupid change? Warror isn't as good a buy on Rengar or Shaco as duskblade is and by the time you have duskblade there isn't much point finishing the jungle item. Please go and play jungle before you try to tell me what to do.

They, rito, literally gave you conditions for this debuff. They gave you conditions to remove the debuff.

Honestly, why not just sell the machete? After you get your tiamat, you dont need it do you? Yeah youd lose out on a champion smite, but youre shaco. You dont even need it most of the time.

Machete still gives bonus experience for killing jungle camps, which the experience the camps themselves give is balanced around. selling the machete early on takes away 50 exp per camp, which can set you behind in levels if you don't wait to sell it until around level 15.

That being said, the debuff isn't really that massive of a deal imo. Warrior, while being somewhat inefficient on a lot of jungle assassins, is still a decent spike, and it lets item 3715 have a more valid reason for being in your inventory.

Im pretty sure you get jungle catch-up XP without the machete though? And if youre like the OP - playing a gank-happy jungler - then your XP is 100% offset by the kills.

No, you don't; it's tied to Machete/Talisman (The items always grant at least 50 bonus EXP + another 50 bonus for every level below the camp you are (though the maximum difference for catchup exp is 7 levels). This is a lot, given each camp's spawn level is based on the average levels in the game.)

Though I said in my comment, the buff that gives you reduced gold isn't so much of a big deal depending on how you play.
