Diana is better than Akali in every single way

They are both assassins that go in and have no escape unlike Fizz, Kata, Ekko, Lb, Riven.

They are also played the same way, Q then R to the target.

While Akali has a shroud that gives her worthless movement speed, Diana has this low cd shield that deals damage and refreshes itself. Sure Akali is hidden for a while but she doesn't get bonus resistances inside her shroud. I honestly would prefer a shield that reapplies itself instead of being invisible in a small area taking skillshots for days or screwing myself if they have an upgraded red trinket/pink.

While Akali has to depend on energy costs, Diana has mana and barely needs any manaregen. If you disagree about her low manacosts, check her core build: http://champion.gg/champion/Diana

Their Qs have the same cd except Akali's Q isn't AoE, has lower range and deals far less damage unless you trigger it by AAing with your cute 125 melee range. Btw, Diana has 150 range.

Diana's R is a better version than Akali's R, I'll explain why.

If Diana doesn't Q before hitting R, the cd of her R is the exact same recharge time of Akali's Rs (recharge time= time to get back another stack) so in this scenario, Diana using her R is like Akali using her when she only has 1 stack like when she just reaches level 6.

If Diana uses her Q before R, the cd resets so Diana R = Akali with 2R stacks. Since her Q has a relatively low cd and she has her W to tank damage for a while (like I said before, her shield gets refreshed) , she can wait for it before using R again for an infinite stack of Rs.

What's more, Diana's R has a higher range than Akali's R and also deals more damage.

Thinking that Akali's R is better because she gets 3 maximum stacks is a noob trap because every decent high elo player will be able to QR with Diana in a second and always keep his ulti off cd when needed.

So Riot please do something about Akali because she's been gutted in January and she's still as bad as ever. There seriously is no reason you should play Akali over the other assassins that have escapes or even Diana who's in the same category.

If anyone wants to confirm what I'm saying about the cds, damage, etc:

Akalis W is somewhat of an escape early- mid game. Even if it gets countered, its an escape.

I like to R before Q with Akali sometimes lel.

How is the MS worthless? It can help you chase, get out of fights and the aoe slow is really good too, better than people make it seem. I have to admit tho, Dianas shield is BS, can someone hack into Riots database and make it not stack?

You seem really biased about Akali vs. Diana if you say mana is better than energy lol. Diana has pretty big mana problems till mid game, thats one of the biggest reasons to play Akali over her.

So 10 seconds is the same cooldown as 6 seconds? I think thats nearly half. Akali has 50 damage and 20% scaling more than Diana if she procs it, which Im ok with since, if youre in range for Q, youre in range for R. You will always aa right after ulting, so thats good...

Vice versa, Ill explain why lel.

Akali has 3 charges, no good Akali player instantly ults level 6 either unless they get a kill by doing it.

Thats the thing. Diana HAS to hit Q before she can ult, otherwise she gets (at least she should) get punished hard. She can do that, but not in a teamfight, where she cant do much if she doesnt hit Q unless shes fed hard.

Whats more, Dianas R range should be nerfed, but their ults kinda deal the same damage.

Every decent high elo player will dodge Dianas Q too.

How comes you didnt mention Akalis strengths, like her disgusting sustain, her non existent cooldowns or her overall extremely high burst?

Ill tell you how much damage both of them can do at level 9: Diana if she hits Q, all Ws and 2 ults: 466 (+250% AP) Akali if she procs double Q, hits E and one ult: 630 (+270% AP) (+60% AD), also lets say she has 25% spell vamp and 150 AP, she will heal ~270- 300 HP off one combo, minus MR of course. Akali has to aa twice too, but lets ignore that damage+ her passive.

So Akali has much better single target damage than Diana as well as way lower cooldowns FeelsBadMan kek (except Diana hits a minion twice before jumping onto her enemy, then she gets 546 base damage, still way worse than Akali, but better scaling. Thats too situational tho.)

Diana might be better than Akali just due to her being kinda op atm, but not in "every single way".

Diana is op in general. I made a post already, and got a respond that she's fine :}

Akali really needs to be kept weak until reworked. They fill the same role, except:

Akali's skill floor is lower. Her skill ceiling is lower. Her decision making requirements are lower. Her mechanical requirements are lower. She has less counterplay.

She's weak, yes, but she SHOULD be weak until reworked. She's like pre-rework Garen. She's just a training wheel to help new players learn an AP assassin that is more difficult to use.

Akali is trash now and she needs a buff.
