Don't finish jungle item with the smite and camp changes?

Hi,

With the incoming nerfs to camps and smite what do you think about the idea of no longer buying the fully upgraded smite item?

As an example: Runic Echoes is simply a weaker version of Luden's Echo. So now smite has been nerfed would it be worth spending the additional few hundred for the better item? The build path isn't terrible either.

Also, as the camps are now being nerfed (late game) it wouldn't seem like a terrible idea to simply sell your machete or talisman after you get your core build or it is slot locking you and focus on ganks/team fights a lot more?

Just an idea.
