is it me or is it that adc's are under-performing because of the recent item changes? I started seeing lots of off meta picks in bot lane even pro players are playing mages in bot quite frequent. hence can someone share with me his opinion on adc's position this patch? Thank you.
Critmaster Garen2 votestheir early/midgame power was nerfed because they were broken for a long time. previously they were often able to scale strongly into midgame and even stronger into lategame.
one of riots intended goals is also to make other champion types than marksmen viable in the position of a duo lane carry. a lot of people are experimenting with other picks now. that doesnt eman marksmen dont still work as carries. but theyre more in line with the rest of the game now.

I can go for an early/midgame duelist with lifesteal and some AD/AS, farm for the late-game with crit, or go bursty with lethality. Even some defensive items seem more tantalizing to specifically counterbuild my opponents. Obviously, I'm somewhat limited by the champion I play, but that's for every other champion class in the game.

crit builds are lategame builds again. basically when youre playing a crit adc youre accepting that your early game is going to be nasus levels of weak, but youre rewarded with an equally strong lategame as soon as the build kicks in.
i think a lot of marksmen mains need to get used to that fact that they dont have as strong of a 2 item power spike anymore by rushing shiv + i.e.
but yes, that also makes other builds more relevant. crit isnt going to power spike as early as lethality while outscaling anymore.

Marksman may have been weakened a bit, but they can be smoothed out with time. It was about time we actually get some legitimate change.
Maybe people will start solo laning with them and opening up bot lane to other carries, perhaps having games where there isn't even a marksman at all. People argue with me and tell me that needs to be required for the game to be balanced, but I question that assertion. It'd be nice to have variety.

Many of them are certainly not as good as they used to be, because their builds are more expensive and require at least one more item to start spiking, but at the end of the day, marksmen are still the only viable carry class in bot lane. Marksmen could very well feel weak, but as long as they continue to be mandatory to both teams, they're not all that weak in reality, because they're still being considered strong enough to beat all other alternatives. Unfortunately, the balancing of marksmen has been such that they're likely bound to feel weak if brought down to a more reasonable power level, simply because that would mean making them not as incredibly strong as they've been for so much of the game's development.

. ADCS with an ok laning phase is possible but over shadow by mages being able to put duel them it the early game but are over all better late. Hyper carries are underperforming really bad right over all. I think the only decent hyper carry right is 
because she has a better laning phase the others, but I main her so.

Ratpie1 votesoh wait? so marksmen are back down to being mortals like the rest of the champs? at least one thing was done right this season. Now if we can get overall game damage lower and revert/fix the hot mess that is the rune system.
