Supporting a Twitch

In one of my ranked games I played as Janna and my adc was Twitch. Problem is... I haven't supported many Twitch players before and I don't play the champion either. So for all the players familiar with Twitch, what are some do's and don'ts when supporting a Twitch? Any general support tips are also welcome! [sg-kiko]

Supporting twitch is all about picking your fights and avoiding bad ones. He's super dependent on that, since his damage is reliant on his stealth and extending trades for powerful e casts. You want to be farming up pre6 usually, although into a weak lane you can cause some serious damage by singling out a target for him to keep sagely in range. Post 6 you're gonna have to communicate, either through pings or text, figuring out how to fight together. Ideally twitch comes out of stealth with ult and you keep both enemies at arms reach so he can unload on them.

For the most part, if you're playing as Janna, you want to try and facilitate his farming as best you can. This might mean walking up with him when he farms(something not enough supports do honestly; just you being next to the ADC while they farm is added pressure; hiding behind your AD or just AFK'ing in the brush is basically allowing them to 1v2 the lane since they don't have the needed pressure to safely walk up; bot lane is a lot of zones of control and you want your "zone" to over lap with your ADCs at least a little) or harassing the enemy support/ADC safely to make them focused on you and what you're doing rather than him and what he's doing.

At a point, he might want to roam and you should try and follow him up with that roam; Twitch roams well for an ADC thanks to his stealth.

In general, let him lead. Twitch likes to initiate his own fights. When you see him stealth, be ready to mix it up with the enemy.
