I usually don't complain about matchmaking....

But I had a hard time believing this when I hit the load screen. I was the eve, wasn't duo'd with anyone.

Is matchmaking broke this patch? Or is the game hemorrhaging players from ranked to the point where even mid plat is a coinflip whether you get a decent game? Very discouraging to try and climb when you get games like this Riot :/

I like match making.

You just gotta learn how to dodge unwinnable games. Or force dodges from your team mates

You dodge games like this

Where your adc is auto filled and your team is filled with literal apes

By that logic you're just exploiting the broken system in your favor...

I'm trying to win yes, I really despise the people who try to lose and ruin the game for the others on their team

If you know the game is a loss why not save your team from the loss.

Most importantly saving yourself from the loss

I mean I completely agree, but it's just fucking sad that A) Games are clearly won or lost before they start, B) That the system encourages dodging games because it doesn't match people equally.

Yeah its sad that it has come to this. I definitely rather wait a few minutes in the queue to get a better game than waste 15 minutes in a game like this (15-30 more minutes on top of that to get my LP back).

I think a 3 tier range would be a good limit as a baseline... I know its MMR based but i cant really see how even hidden MMR values resulted in this game.

Duoing needs to change for that. Duoing off tiers is awfully because MMR is whats used to build games. It wont break MMR but the way its set up has a worst case where MM has to search over a gap that gets as large as 80% of the games player base. Realistically that's an outlier, most likely its in the 40%-60% ranges but that's still fucking massive gaps in skill.

From a MMR system standpoint the main benefit of riots Tiers is that you can make your MMR gains and losses higher so that bad players and good ones get out of range faster, with out players being rewarded/punished for playing at high uncertainty.

This year is going to be Fucky btw. Riot tried to make changes to deal with player complaints that they really shoulda just told people to live with.

All accounts need to grind to rebuild the ladder and every low game account represents a much higher uncertainty then previous years, New tiers, new starting MMR? More chaos more uncertainty. All low game players are going to be a real risk of inconsistency.

Like I said in my mispost earlier matching experience (or K factors) would create a much better quality for people with some games under their belts. Downside is high uncertainty games get even worse.

@Mavrick. Abusing 3rd party sights that use Riots AP is fine for MMR. Your just lowering the time to reach your range. Once your a handicap for your team your a handicap in all your games. If it ever becomes to large of an issue for the game then riot just changes their API and poof problem is solved. Personally I take RNG luck of the draw because dead weight just gives me perspective on how much weight I can pull. And I don't foolishly think im actualy a pro player whos hard stuck because bad teamamtes. I started at bronze, got better over the years, Plats about as good as I can make it. I enjoy playing.

Yeah I definitely would have dodged had I known my teams ranks and win rates. Whats the program you use to check? Copying and pasting into op.gg works but it would be better to have something that does it automatically.

No one was playing shaco, I'm assuming you mean my jhin?

I get that players with low numbers of games have big MMR swings when winning or losing a match, but like you said gold last season, which means he starts at silver and goes up. Problem is out of 22 games hes lost more than half, which in no way puts him at the MMR of someone who is plat 2 and in promos. I get what you are saying but its a bit of a stretch to say this games reasonable "early season" matchmaking.

Replyed in the wrong tab. Doh. XcomegaX posted in both of them so I though I had the right one.

Edit. fixed. Give me a moment and I will check the actual game your talking about here. Edit x2. Never mind, your not posting on your main.

y50mm3r1 votes

Yeah I purposely did that to avoid name shaming anyone that game as if i posted on my main It would be as bad as leaving the names in the picture.

That's respectful of you. What I personally check is average match MMR, # of games the current season, If a player Duos regularly, And what last seasons ending MMR tier was
