So with triple screen monitors, you can seen super far without using your mouse to move the screen?! Thoughts?

Don't monitors with higher resolutions see more of the playing field already? If so, this is just an extension of that advantage, and I doubt that Riot will do anything about it. They would have to change the game so that everyone sees the same sized area of the battlefield at once, which would probably have to be fairly small to allow for lower-resolution monitors to display it without major pixelation (meaning the change would detract from the game for people with higher-resolution monitors).

This has already been mentioned way before, that LoL doesn't scale with resolution beyond a certain point (or is it for all resolution? I forgot) and just opens up more vision for the player instead.

Which they haven't been bothered to fix for whatever reason.

I think it would be more distracting, if anything. It may have some impact during a teamfight in a jungle or something, but it'd be more difficult to look at the minimap. If you don't have vision of those area, it's meaningless to have a wider screen.

Is this just horizontal? Or can it work in all directions?

The problem I see is that you have to quickly glance at the minimap every couple of seconds. If it's way the hell over there, it would take a lot of time on a critical function. If you could move that to the main monitor, then I would see the advantage... but, most of the advantage you get would also be got from looking at the minimap anyway.
