Tilt is one hell of a drug
So.... they make you play worse?
Maybe it is just you are playing worse. This is commonly refered to as "tilted." Similar to a pinball machine, when someone gets angry they tilt the pinball machine which is against the rules.... but they do it because they are angry and so they play progressively worse until they have to resort to cheating. Similarly, someone who is tilted until they get progressively worse until something changes.
