Grades are Broke for Support Type

The Grading system is totally broke for support type champs. I would really like them to get that fix. It would probably help encourage people to play support more often.

If a support champ has 1 kill and 60% + assists and 2 or 3 Deaths then they deserve an "S+".

If a support champ carries the team with 20+ kills and 2 or 3 deaths, then they deserve a "D".

They are not grading the essence of what it means to be a good support champ.

Now I don't mean those numbers exactly, but you get the gist of what I'm getting at. You can't grade Yi and Yasuo the same as Lux and Sona. Cmon fix this PLEASE!!!!!!!

Same goes for a true tank...

EDIT: I'm talking specifically about ARAM.

i pretty much get a S- or above when i supp so im not seeing the issue . here is how grading works they base it on evrey one using that same champ ......

Odd, almost every champ i have played in support i've gotten an S on...

More often when I Braum or Taliyah though...

Since we don't know how riot computes the score, it is hard to say what should and what should not go into it. Any numerical data from the game could be a part of the equation, things like damage done, damage taken, healing done, wards placed, etc.

That computed score is then compared to scores from the same champ/role combination and a grade is doled out based on some sort of curve.

There is nothing that says support scores have a greater emphasis on assists than kills, wards placed, or anything else. All that we know of the system is that it compares your game to many others and decides how well you did. KDA is only a small part of that.

You all have some great comments. Though so far I'm not hearing anything helpful. If it's based on how other people play the champ then, well, that sucks... Guess I better learn how to copy them.

There's a lot we don't know. Totally agree. I'll be totally proven wrong if someone could shoot me a screen shot of a support champ getting an S without going OP. That's my main case and point.

You all need to keep updated of the news. It was stated weeks ago that they realize that support grading is not that easy or accurate in regards to the role, and they also announced in that same breath a minor rework of the grading in regards to supports is in the works for the next few patches that are focused on a support mini rework.

On ARAM there is no such thing as supp really right?. I mean you can build it but the game isn't recognizing the fact that you're supping is it?

Stop complaining about the system and work for the s's. They will eventually come if you are any decent at support
