Is it just me, or are we gradually having forced interactions with friendly champions?

Right now, it feels sort of weird how I can be forcefully bonded w/ kalista, ult out of nowhere, so it can be kind of trolly. Tahm can be extremely troll if w's someone out of a chase/ into danger. I really don't want to be ulted by bard as a troll move. This seems to be a slow trend, with only a couple of champs. Personally, I'd sacrifice some power in these champs as these moves can be turned around for extreme synergy/ troll factor.

I absolutely hate forced movement/CC by allies. It's terrible in solo queue because either you get a troll that uses it to fuck you up, or you get those with Jinx voice here the best intentions who, whether they're good or bad players, fuck you up anyway because what they see and think is a good idea doesn't match what you see and think is a good idea.

I hate Bard, Kalista and Tahm Kench for that reason, and would love nothing more than to see that part of their kit removed and replaced by something healthier. Thresh's lantern should have been the closest LoL ever got to allowing you to move allies. This ain't DotA. And I can't read my allies mind, and they can't read mine.

When Kalista randomly pulls me with her ult, 75% of the time I have no idea what she wanted me to do with it (so I guess and I'm wrong half the time), 15% of the time she is obviously saving me so I thank her, and 10% of the time she just royally screwed me over even if that was not her intention (pulls me when my 2nd tick from Morgana was about to pop, pulls me when I'm channeling my Janna ult, etc). There have been very few instances where a Kalista properly ulted me for non-defensive purposes, and guess what, they were all premades with voice chat and me yelling "TOSS ME TOSS MEEEEE!", lol.

Or we can add a pop up when Kallista wants to bond you where you either click "Sure, let's do this" or "No, f*ck you". Because i'd like to click the second option.

It was something Riot said that they would never ever do, but then they backpedaled on that statement and released Kalista.

Bard, too (forces CC on allies).

And the upcoming champion's ult prevent all champions from dying, including the enemies.

Really it feels like Riot wants the trolls to reign supreme.

Yeah, I just mentioned Kalista because she was the first of the slew of champions they released to have forced interaction with allies.

I honestly have no problem with Riot changing their mind.

Riot is probably gotten to the point were it is becoming difficult to develop champions. (particularly ADC's and Supports) With out creating that, team effect. And they had decided that the Ability to Troll, is no longer going to deter that.

And that isn't to say they can't make simple champions. Out of the newer releases. Ekko, and now Kindred, will have one passive, 3 basic abilities, and an ult.

They are abilities that reward teamwork play, but that means jack shit in soloQ.

There are tons of ways to reward teamwork without having allies force movement or CC on you.

I mean, there are very, very few situations where getting ulted by Kalista is a distinctly bad thing. You still control where you go afterwards, so it's pretty simple to either leave or reengage.

  1. I'm Morgana and my 2nd half of ult is about to tick and she ults me
  2. I'm Janna and I intend to heal but she pulls me and cancels it
  3. I'm anyone with a skillshot and she just fucked up my aim and positioning
