I wanted to ask it here, since on Reddit there is no answer... (New Client, Sandbox mode, Replay)

Riot...where is the new client? The replay system? Anything?? * /r/leagueoflegends

Hi, on reddit there is this post (highest rank post on the subreddit "/r/leagueoflegends" atm) where players ask if we (the community) will ever receive Dota 2 players just received, even though we have the bigger playerbase and Riot has obviously a higher income from the game "League of Legends" than Valve from "Dota 2".. I will just copy it down below AND I really hope that Riot will respond to this in any way so we can know if Riot Games is working on these features or can we give up our hopes and move on:

With all of the updates recently released for Dota2, the feature gap between it and LoL increases by the day. League itself is now even able to be recreated in FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE game modes for Dota2. At this point it almost feels like the only thing that keeps me playing League is the time and money that I've committed to the game already, which is a really shitty feeling. Here are features that Dota2, a much younger game with a smaller overall playerbase, offers yet have not been implemented by Riot:

  • Replay system
  • User friendly, stable client (potentially including features such as in-client streaming ability and so on)
  • Training mode
  • Sandbox mode
  • User-created custom settings and game modes
  • Ability to change settings/check ping/etc. outside of game
  • Lore of any kind
  • Functional, informative death recap
  • In-game voice communication
  • Teammate ultimate timers/gold count
  • Functional reconnect system

This list could expand even further, but the worst part about all of it from a community standpoint is that for most of these, we have had almost zero feedback from Riot as to whether these concerns have been heard, if any of these are even in the works, or what the plans for the future are. The fact that a prototype replay system (a feature Dota2 had implemented SINCE RELEASE) was first added to the PBE over two and a half years ago and we have heard nothing since feels like a very big problem from someone who has invested so much into the game. Riot has always indicated that they want to promote clarity between them and the community - it just feels lately like this is very far from the truth. TL;DR - We are lacking many essential features for a game of this magnitude. For most of these, Riot has not even given any indication of acknowledgement or development. Dota2 is looking better every day. Riot, please. EDIT: Just for clarification, as many seem to view this as just another complaint post or telling me to "just go play DOTA then" - I don't WANT to play DOTA. I love League, and I WANT it to be the better game. And it still is by far, to many people. There are simply many crucial features that are lacking, and just as importantly, there definitely exists a communication barrier between Riot and the community - these are the things I wanted to highlight.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
