umm no, I would understand IP but why would riot give away free money.

Many others MOBAs do it in various ways. SMITE: BOTG has is to where you ear in-game currency (Favor, their IP) each day you log in then by the last two days you earn the gems (their RP)

They also have a much smaller player base compared to League. They can do it because they are not actually losing a lot of profit, but if riot does it they are actually losing a lot in profit.

Eh.. Although I would love to have this, Riots primary income source is from RP, if they keep adding more ways to unlock skins for free this will hurt their company.

i feel like daily is too frequent for them to want to do. though i would love if they even did this monthly i highly doubt they would give away bits of their income like that
