Normal game matching

I have been playing for a few years. The biggest issue I have by far is during normal games. I usually have a few people I play with but most of the time we do not have a fill team so we get one or more random person. These random people seem to be the worst players in the game while we get matched against decent if not strong groups. I have noticed this for about a year and it has never bothered me as much as tonight. I played 2 games, in one we had 2 people with such bad map awareness that that I ended up feeding as a jungle because my mid laner didn't even know that I was ganking and liked to sit under tower as I went into a 2v1 to try and save him. The second game had an ADC who wend AFK about 6 minutes in. Is this just me or do other people have problems with the worst match ups imaginable?
