is volibear broken strong right now?

just faced one voli jungle, he had 60 farm 12 min 8/0/something. so he farms better than shyvana, tankier than aynthing you veer faced, and melts you if you get close.

No, he's not unless you let him get melee range. He isn't played in competitive since Q got nerfed for that exact reason. Unless you're bad or have a terrible team comp, you should be able to kite him effectively. In reality though, almost every time I play Volibear, people just fight me.

Also, it's important to note that he does split magical and physical damage which means that he doesn't have a clear itemization path beyond tank.

I fought a fed Volibear yesterday. Out damaged everyone on my team (including me) building full tank (5k HP w/lots of MR/armor). He bought Dead Man's so NOBODY could escape him. Towerdived enemies whenever he felt too. He literally couldn't die and dealt absurds amount of damage. I understand he is a Juggernaut, but he didn't build ANY damage (including masteries) and managed to instakill anyone and tower dive for infinity.
