Most smurfs are people who are perma-banned and need to make new accounts. Which they will then probably get banned off before they hit 30 exde.
I don't get people who smurf for the sake of smurfing, I don't get how you feel good beating lesser skilled opponents (or new ones).
years ago i said something like "duoQ's are disgusting, they victimize one lane and act sorry for the enemy team cause they had an afk all while the person who went afk's team flamed him." but i got downvoted for this.
smurfing and duoQ is disgusting and we need pure soloQ.
@Riot - Right now you are trying hard to attract new players and I hope you succeed.
But 2 or 3 games of TRUE new players getting camped and destroyed by smurfing players, with a pub stomp champ they likely don't own yet, followed up by mean spirited trash chat, from both teams, and lets throw in the MAYBE of a team that won't surrender as they suffer through an additional 15 mins of this terrible experience...
That is likely MORE then enough to scare away someone who hasn't invested much time in the game yet... I understand that Smurf accounts are something that is VERY hard to monitor and/or police, But If you want true new blood on the rift something NEEDS to be done about this! I understand that verified E-mails will soon be required on all accounts, and that's a good step. Hopefully that will make at least some of these bullies think twice risking their main accounts.
Note: Yes I know it's not that hard to create a throwaway E-mail, but in my life experience? adding an extra step or effort into ANYTHING is enough to keep most people who are just in it for laughs or curiosity from following threw.

Most smurfs you won't even notice because they'll be screwing off and playing champs they don't main so they fit right into the fiesta.
I'm a diamond player that smurfs constantly in silver/gold on champs I don't main for fun and to learn the champs so I can eventually play them in my diamond games.
