Rank placement

So I was Gold IV last season. In the first ten ranked games, I matched up with some trolls, and less-skilled players which lead to 3 win 7 loss game. I admit that I made couple bad plays too but I m sure this does not contribute to the entire loss of the game. I never blame in game and always stay positive. However, I got placed into Bronze III? Lots of my friend has 4win 6 loss but got into Silver III. Why is there a big difference?

With all these games I played, I tried my best, my score were mostly 10-2, 8-2 ish. (maybe one game I wasn't doing well end up like 1-5). Anyway, why is there a big discrepancy between the placement in S4 and S5?

Don't be bothered. You will raise extremely fast :) Trust me on this. You will probably storm through bronze and even skip tiers :)

If you are looking for reason, I'd say there isn't one. But I know from my own experience if you are placed to somewhere you don't belong, you will either climb or drop to where your skill level is around :)

Thanks for the encouragement. I played in Bronze III using Master Yi jungle. It went well early but as our 1-7 adc, 2-4 Orianna vs Nasus top lane, the game goes bad. I can hold my anger towards certain bad plays. However, Bronze game are just so hard to carry when you have these people who don't listen and play smart. Any recommendations on champion I should use?

Really depends on your playstyle. Personal favourite is Shaco. I duo with my friends(who was silver and now bronze) on my smurff with shaco and haven't lost a single game :)

If you're looking to jungle, right now Jarvan, Vi, Kha'Zix, and for me Elise are the strongest champions to jungle and carry with. I understand Lee Sin is pretty strong as well, but he falls off kinda hard late game so the carry is less effective. I've also been told that Tryndamere is basically free wins until you hit gold/platinum.

I also definitely get the frustration of feeding lanes, there's only so much you can do, but the best way to deal with it is to just let go of it. You don't know what's going on with them, their girlfriend might have broken up with them today, they might be on the east coast like me and suddenly jump to 500 ping out of nowhere. There are a lot of variables that can cause someone to perform poorly and frankly if they're not going to listen to you, just go ahead with it and keep going, try to help them when you can, but get the other lanes going. It's easier to snowball another lane, than help a behind lane catch up.

I was in mid for this particular match, but we had a gnar in the top lane finish the game 3/30/6. We didn't have a proper jungle because Jarvan forgot to take smite and couldn't buy the machete. The good news is I play a pretty strong Xerath mid, paired with someone who played an absolutely vicious Vayne, so between me and her, we carried the lane that got completely dumpstered and won the game. Those insanely impossible victories still happen. The enemy team was still ahead 4.3k gold when we took their nexus.

Yeah, for these lower elo queues, people do not make the right decision. When I play in Gold league, people knows what to do in certain time frame. Unlike in bronze, people don't understand what to do with a baron buff. Giving away many advantages. Even if you are a good player, sometimes you just have to deal with people who are not an expert in this game.

The placement system goes based on when your games were won, earlier wins are worth more than later wins, and earlier losses make you suffer more than later losses. So if you lost your first 7 and won the last 3, you'd be placed lower than if you won the first 3 and lost the following 7. It would be entirely possible for you to be placed higher going 3-7 than your friends being 4-6 if you won the earlier games and they lost them.

The system apparently doesn't take your performance into account at all beyond winning or losing, so you could be 0/30 and if your team somehow still wins, congratulations you get as much credit as they did assuming they're on the same game you are in their series.

Believe me I'd love it if they took more into account as my wins last season were super hard carries in most cases and there were people who didn't deserve the full values of those games, just like I deserved to be punished harder than I was for some of my losses.

I totally agree, people who went 0-20 with a win receive same amount of attention as people who got 20-0. They should take that into account. I am not saying I am always a great player matched with dumbasses. However, people who don't play smart and feed totally destroys your rank

I get really annoyed when people mention their scores. Like honestly, the game don't give a fuck what your score was. You went 3-7 in promo, probably had bad MMR right before the promos, and it got worse...leading to a bronze placement lol.
