I don't see why not? It will measures the ability how well you play with random champs and in any random situations.
Say, to play the ranked game, a player must to have curtain number of champs to start, then the cap goes up as your rank goes up.
For an example, to play ranked game of ARAM, at least 50 champs to start then have to obtain 70 champs plus corresponding MMR to be bronze, and it goes up...
I think it would be fun. What do you think?

Not to mention your requirements for ARAM ranked are considerably absurd, especially given requirements for other ranked game modes
Also balancing ARAM ranked would be a nightmare, because it functions drastically different than Summoner's Rift, given that some items aren't even available coughWardscough

Rank in that way won't be really feasible as you can end up queuing for a long time depending on your rank. Likely longer than Masters and challengers do.
I can see they giving rewards for the amount of games played, won and even lose.
Destroying a certain amount of towers, inhibitors etc.
Just some goofy stuff. They can be like long missions.
tbh, that's what I thought would have been implemented when riot introduced missions.
