Jungle ADC runes question
Hello All!
I was hoping someone with a little more math experience in league could give a a few pointers on a specific case of rune selection. So I have been messing around with Trist Jungle just for fun and it actually works decently well. Good level 2 and 3 gank with a decent slow, gapcloser, and good damage especially with red buff. After her first clear when I can back and get challenging smite and hopefully a recurve bow, she becomes incredibly safe since you can save your jump for escapes and engages and if the enemy jungler tries to mess with you all it takes is a red smite to stop their burst, jump away, and kite to death. This only gets better as you hit 6.
The obvious problem with this (and any adc you take jungle) is that their first clear is super unsafe. Trist actualy has a decently fast first clear since her e does AoE damage on a kill, so golems and chickens pretty much melt. But she still takes a decent chunk of damage and would totally be vulnerable to say a xin, kha, or udyr who wants to bully you at level 2. Its usually why I try to gank a lane right after red. Let them have blue and I'll take the gold advantage in a kill.
So my question is this: Which runes do you think give a champ like trist the best/safest first clear?
AD or AS marks? MR or CDR Glyphs? AS, AD, or Lifesteal Quints?
I've been running Standard AD Marks/Quints and MR Glyphs, but I feel like thats kind of wasted on her since she only has one skill with an actual AD scaling, and its a very high cooldown. Would keeping the AD marks be better if I took the lifesteal quints since I would be getting 6%+(6%*8% for masteries) of that back? With the prevalence of AD junglers is it worth it to take MR Glyps or should I go 5% CDR and take the rest in scaling MR?
What I'm kind of leaning toward is swapping the glyphs to the 5% CDR and the rest scaling MR, the Marks to AS and the Quints to lifesteal. Since my jungle build is really on hit based anyways, the extra damage isn't really doing me much good so I figure the healing and on hit I get from my base AD should be good enough. Anyone have experience in the subject matter?
