2020 and Rage-quitting feels worse than ever.

I have been playing League season season 2? (Ahri was the newest release). I've played in amateur leagues/and tournaments, also served as an analyst and coach as well. In that time period I don't recall the raw quantity of rage quitters or AFKs being so frequent in games. I duly report them, its been so long since I have received a notification for punishments in that I don't recall the last one (do they even still do that?).

Its really sad to me, but I feel really let down as a player and someone trying to be a positive member of the community. It is getting so discouraging I think I am ready to quit. I just don't understand why Riot allows such behavior. Everyone has a bad day, I get it, but when your behavior effects other people you are accountable for it; end story. If I am having a bad day, I don't que up. Its not that hard.

This is not a new problem, but its a problem that seems to get worse not better over time. I just don't want to que up for a 5 person team game, when people can just leave on a whim without consequence (especially since Riot doesn't offer any form of compensation/assistance to their screwed over teammates).

There would be a LOT less rage quitting if they allowed a 4 vote surrender at 15 minutes... and duo's only got 1 vote.

I HATE wasting 5-6 minutes on an obviously lost game just to surrender at 20-21 minutes. Feels like a waste of my time and I end up just afk'ing around Krugs or Gromp whacking them and kiting away for 5-6 minutes. I'm good part about it is I have a multi-monitor setup so I can watch some Youtube in the meantime.

I only rage quit when the rest of my team is feeding. Usually starts with the jungle and adc throwing the game and quickly ends up burdening the whole team.

When your jungler and adc are being outskilled repeatedly, it's time to afk and stop pretending like there's glory in wasting 25 mins.

No thanks, I'd rather grab lunch. Think of this as a strategic decision.

That's because the punishment is so minimal that people do not care. I had a jungler this season get mad and leave the game. I reported him and moved on to the next game after we finished which was like 5 minutes later hoping he would come back. He was in my next game too. He did the same thing too played 15-20 min and then just left. Never said anything in game and we were winning both games too.

Make the penalties like this and you will see an immediate change in behavior Leave a ranked game early 1st offence - 1 hour ban Leave a ranked game early 2nd offence - 24 hour ban (if within 30 days of prior ban) Leave a ranked game early 3rd offence - 72 hour ban (if within 30 days of prior ban) Leave a ranked game early 4th offence - 1 week ban (if within 30 days of prior ban) Leave a ranked game early 5th offence and all subsequent - 2 week ban (if within 30 days of prior ban)

Dodge Que 1st offence - 30 min ban Dodge Que 2nd offence - 2 hour ban (if within 7 days of prior ban) Dodge Que 3rd offence - 24 hour ban (if within 7 days of prior ban) Dodge Que 4th offence - 72 hour ban (if within 7 days of prior ban) Dodge Que 5th offence and all subsequent - 1 week ban (if within 7 days of prior ban)

Also make the leaver timer longer so if your internet drops or your power goes out for a second you have more time to reconnect without penalty. 5 min should be increased to like 7-10 because if you need to reset your router that takes like 2-5 minutes alone.

The current penalties are 6 min(1st), 15 min(2-5th), and 20 minutes (6+) that is nothing. That is the problem with the penalties who cares you get a 20 min ban that's not even the length of the game.

This is why people rage quit. Suffering this kind of thing game after game is just too much. I myself am a chronic "rage quitter". I leave at least one game a day.

You know what feels worse? Supports after the season started up. For some reason, after the season started, it seems like supports are getting heavily gimped shared lane XP with any adc who is passive farming. In other words, if you get paired with someone who "thinks" they are freezing, but in reality are just standing, doing nothing except last hitting minions..... it doesn't even seem like you can level as a support.

I've had 3 games so far where I was level 2 when the other team was level 4, because of this crap. Do you know what level 2 support vs a level 4 adc/support is? A liability and an easy 2 shot. And then my teams freak out when I leave lane to try to catch up on levels, get some gold. and help snowball someone else. Do you want a level 2-5 Support when the game is at level 6-8, or do you want a support whose relevant?

P.S. This isn't even being outpoked/dying. I can get 1-3 kills going in bot lane and STILL be at a massive XP loss..... because The adc isn't actively working to share XP. One of my own duos literally full pushed bot while I was in base one game. Does he even know what that does? When I get back, there's no wave. It's at their turret. I'm level 2. The other team gets to kill their waves. I can do NOTHING vs Level 4 as level 2, unless they dive a turret.

people are doing this because the community refuses to be honest with each other, and so you get this. honest about what you ask? everything basically. but oh well.

They made a change to the leaver buster I believe. Before you could afk a MAXIMUM of 2 ranked games before leaverbuster got you. Now that just doesnt happen. I quit 3 or 4 ranked games when I was on a huge tilt spree one night and didn't get any punishment, it's ridiculous.

Rage-quitting can feel better than ever, depending on your perspective.

Lol

######No I dont condone it, just making a joke about this fun game that was turned into a horrifyingly frustrating game over the past few years.
