AP carries need an item to shred tanks.

Especially in this meta, where apc who can 1v1 burst have all been nerfed and have to require landing more skill shot while relying on positioning and taking care of the tanks, arent carries supposed to be the strongest late game? Look at ADC for example, they have the best late game. APC does not have a good late game, the worst from every other role as of now.

To explain, apc has a lot of counterplay, the most from every other role. Ability to side step to negate their damage, or buying banshees, buying even one mr item is enough to make an apc threat useless and gone. Now the qss and stuff also comes in to shut down apc who should be rewarded for landing skill shot.

APC right now have no damage to kill the tanks. Lyandires are too useless to be used to combat the tanks. Either make lyandries a better tank destroyer or make an new item that will help apc carry.

This tank meta is the worst meta ive ever played. Good thing i quit now, going to wait till the meta and balance gets better.

the problem isn't an ap mid laners damage output, its in the fact that you're trying to 1v1 the tank and think that your full combo can 100-0 anyone you choose. newsflash, you cant, thats the reason why they're building tanky, so you cant do that like you do to other squishy targets.

i pick viktor into tank matchups, like i see a sejuani, hecarim, leona on the enemy team, i pick viktor and i build liandry, sorc boots, and void staff. and rabcap/zhonyas or ludens now.

those tanks you speak of, they rarely build full mr, often its just a banshees veil and 4000 health you have to deal with, so if you want to combo someone for 4000 damage, thats a bit much.

you dont have to get through 100% of their MR, you need to get through their health pool. adcs have to worry about all the armor they stack.

Tanks are a pain to kill as a mage, this true, but if you build like Rod of Ages they can't kill you and you can whittle them down easily. A true tank shouldn't die easily that's why there called tanks not bruisers. as for shredding them, Liandra's is decent by its effect doubles with Rylai's and also periodic damage is good for killing tanks.

do you see it, they already get shred tanks

since mr is harder to itemize and you will always have less of it, and since void staff works so well

its a big chunk of ap's power that they dont get to be counteritemized so hard

Ap casters need to land full combo to instakill the squshies and leave the tanks to 50 % hp (or less). And you need more dmg??????????????? Maybe you never saw Annie, Orianna etc instakilling the whole enemy team "hiding" in a warded bush.
