Can Shen get assist on allied death?

For those of you not aware to what I'm talking about, Shen's Q, if it hits a target, if he or another champion hits that target, get healed for a bit. Heals can grant assists. If Shen hits a neutral monster with his Q, enemy champions CAN get healed. My question is this: Can Shen get an assist (Or at least show that he assisted) an enemy killing an ally? I know two teams can assist getting things via Baron and Dragon showing both teams contributing, but not sure about a champion.

From the wiki:

Shen throws a blade at the target enemy, dealing magic damage and marking them for 5 seconds. Shen and allied champions that damage a marked enemy will heal over 3 seconds, with the duration refreshing upon subsequent damage.

Enemy champions can't receive the heal, so he can't get an assist on allied deaths.

O.o great question. Maybe we should test this, we'd need a third. I doubt it, but I have seen team killing on Youtube videos, who knows.

As it seems like nobody knows, and, luckily, I do own Shen, sometime tomorrow, I'm going to find out once and for all, and say what I find, here. FOR SCIENCE! Heimerdinger EDIT: Due to the patch and my computer crashing, it took EIGHT HOURS to download the patch, since it needed to scan the WHOLE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS GAME FOLDER. So, I'll test it tomorrow.

So, did you test it? Or you got pregnant during it and now you got one more mouth to feed
