Smiteless jungle warwick

I just played my first ranked game against a warwick in the Jungle. The thing is, I couldn't tell he was jungle because no one on their team had smite. He ran summoner 14 and summoner 6 , so I figured he'd be top lane. "Oh cool," I thought. "Two jungles to farm, ez freelo." I was wrong; so, so wrong. After stealing his first red camp and fb'ing their actual top laner Ekko, I figured that would set him back a bit. I was wrong. After building item 3077 and item 3078 alone, he snowballed incredibly quickly. Clearing out both his jungle and mine effortlessly even without smite. He ended the game with the most kills, least deaths, most damage dealt, most damage taken, most damage healed, and most gold earned. Without smite. I just don't understand why riot would acknowledge the fact that jungle sustain is too high and rework a 450 ip jungler to have enough built-in sustain to pull off a smiteless jungle while being down one of his first buffs. Whatever, at least I know that he's deserving of his permaban state.

He misses too much xp without smite. It's just that your team was bad and died to ganks. He should have been like 2 levels behind everyone.

that he cost 450 ip is not a reason for nerfs man, I see your point but if he doesn't take smite your team will have an advantage when it comes to dragon and baron.

I'm not saying the 450 cost is a reason to nerf him, I'm just saying that after repeatedly stating that junglers have too much sustain atm, making the most basic first-buy jungler have that much sustain sends out kind of a mixed signal.

WW has always been a really good sustain jungler lol

U did use it in your argument against his sustain fyi.

no he was stating the fact that it was a 450ip jungler not that because its a 450ip jungler just didnt word it well

Come off better if worded "the fact that jungle sustain is too high and rework 'him as a' 450 ip jungler to have enough built-in sustain to pull off a smiteless jungle while being down one of his first buffs. Whatever, at least I know that he's deserving of his permaban state."

Sound better that way?

Dude mentioning it in that way is including it in his statement. If he didn't want to sound like he used is as an argument he could have just simply not mention it.

You don't only take smite for quick jungle clears. It's also for objective control later. Without smite, securing dragon or baron while the other jungler is alive is going to be pretty difficult.

Without Smite, he wouldn't be able to get a jungle item (lowering his overall experience), he wouldn't be able to secure objectives (with a burst of true damage) and his overall clear would be slowed down.

If you couldn't take advantage of these glaring weaknesses, then that is on you.

You're silver.

Your point being?

I think his point is that there are MANY junglers that could potentially jungle without smite, however, in higher brackets of play the game is significantly more about objectives and less about being an ARAM.

Silver and I'm pretty sure that he was a smurf. No Silver....scuse me, no TRUE silver, could pull off a smiteless jungle and not have flash to boot. least none that I've met.

Smurf or not, new WW's still not even 24 hours old. People Are still learning how his kit works to it's best use, how to build, which camps to take first, etc. Unless they got practice with him on the PBE there's still no real justification for it

It doesn't take 24 hours to have an understanding. Hell I finished 10-6 after starting 7-3. I knew I needed tiamat first, either bloodrazor or cinderhulk, and then straight tank from there. It's easy to know which way to go. And as for which camp to start, either start red and then go to full blue side (if you started your W or E), or start blue if you started your Q.

And to be fair, WW as a jungler is crap...

... logic?

Interesting, every Warwick I've seen since the rework fed the enemy like starving children. Hell even I fed when I finally got to play him.
