It could work, but why not just go with attack speed/rageblade if you want to shred tanks, or Trinity force if you want CDR and to melt squishy targets.
For top lane Vayne, a trinity force + Mallet build would make sense, but getting cleaver seems a bit wasteful.
you don't get cleaver for the same reason vayne doesn't buy lw, she busts tanks hard enough with her w that she doesn't need to buy a penetration item.
Theres 100% no reason to buy black cleaver on vayne
People spend so much time thinking "will it work?" they don't ask "is it optimal?"
Quite obviously, Vayne doesn't really need BC to shred tanks, since she already has %HP true damage that scales with AS, and she's combining it with another Physical damage %HP item, Blade of the ruined king.
Given that BotRK is still a core pick up on this BC build, I would guess that your using the increased Physical damage form the Armor shred, to increase the life steal from from BotRK. But I would still find it unlikely to be more efficient than increasing your AS, or buying another LS item.
If your going to try an off build, You should have some idea regarding, "What such a build would accomplish?" and "How effective that actually is?" If we were to take Lucian for Example, What does the Armor pen build, offer that the crit build does not? Simple, an Earlier power spike, Compared to trying to stack crit chance, AD, and AS. Next question, How effective is that actually on Lucian, when the Crit build is still optimal on most other ADCs? Actually it does, because Armor pen also affects his spell damage, which is part of the reason of why he gets a much more powerful spike, compared to building crit, which his spells don't scale off of.
Black cleaver is inefficient on Vayne. She is a single target Dps champion cleaving only 1 target.
On Illaoi Black Cleaver is efficient because of her massive AOE damage. She is capable of cleaving the entire enemy team in a small time frame with her ult allowing AD champs to do more damage in team fights.
Glad you had success with it, but I wouldn't do it.
Hi all. I play in Gold elo so far ( may be further ) but about the BC build on Vayne is effective for her. But only if u go in a too late game, what is usual in this elo. what u get from this item and helps you to make some plays is the ms passive and the cdr plus the hp etc. u are every 1,6 sec on STEALTH plus your repositioning is much more effective of not get caught in dangerous style. these reasons are more than enough to buy this item.
