I wish I took a screenshot of it.

I won 8/10 games. I lost 1 because our support was stoned. I lost the last one because my team was shit. Not too bad right?

I expected silver 3...

I got a message saying: "In season 7, all players start at Bronze 1."

I didn't get the Bronze icon popping up or anything.

This just demoralizes me, because that meant that if I had lost all games or won all games, I would have just been Bronze 1. What would be the point of "placements" if everyone is Bronze 1?

Maybe Riot is on the same stuff as that support Lux...

IN ADDITION, I won 3/10 games in placements last season and I played like shit in them. I GOT SILVER 4.

I have no idea what Riots doing. But it just makes me lose enthusiasm to play the game.

Well you ended last season Silver 4 so the best you could hope for is Silver 5. Placements are not a climbing tool. Everyone gets moved down.

Gonna need a link to this "all players start at Bronze 1" because they dont and I dont believe you.

Reminds me of my season 4. played 7w 3l in placements got bronze 3 after ending season 3 in silver 3.

Now look where I am today.

Just keep playing and improving. You won't get far in just a few months. You need dedication and experience.

because now you have to actually play consistently good to climb instead of just just being lucky in 10 games? that's the whole point of climbing. when you lose your enthusiasm because you have to start low then you shouldn't play Ranked at all. I mean, when you think you can easily reach higher divisions, then what's holding you back?

the whole fun lies in actually climbing over the season for me, not if i'm lucky in my 10 placement games.
