League Ranked Question

I see that in my League, there are people with negative points. Also I see that people are getting to Gold (however Prestogious this may be to some) and just stop playing ranked all together. Perhaps they're scared of dropping and feel safe with the new decay change. Do these people really earn the same perks as those who continue to play and work for their placements? Gold borders are pretty attractive to me. Thanks to whoever responds :) this is my first post! Have a good day'

Yup. If you are Gold 5 with 0 LP you get the same exact rewards as someone who is Gold 1 in their promos to Plat 5

Most people stop at Gold because they just want the rewards and don't really care for playing Ranked. Gold is the minimum requirement to get the free victorious skin that RIOT offers each season. The only thing you get after Gold is a different border and summoner icon. IMO only people who like ranked would continue for those.
