Equal out Ryze spell ranges?

Ryze's Q currently outranges his W and E by a minuscule amount. This makes a max-range engage unnecessarily finicky. Ryze wants to start with a Q, but smartcasting a Q from out of range will have him walk forward and pop it off outside of his combo range, meaning you either have to have the exact W/E range memorized and walk into it before hitting that Q or you have to start with E or W to get them cast at absolute max range which kills the DPS you get from starting with Q.

As it stands he has a nerf due to a contrived gameplay mechanic -- what could be a full combo ends up only being a Q harass because of a rather meaningless sliver of range. Seems rather stupid that the difference between a horrible Ryze player and a good one comes down to, "Walking forward an additional half-step before hitting Q." I suggest reducing the Q range to the same as E and W to cement his place as a short-range fighter/mage. His lesser ability to Q harass will be made up for with fewer missed combos: "When you're in range, you're in range."

Several patches back, his ranges were actually like this, but this was changed to the ranges they are now.

The theory behind this change is that when Ryze engages, he has a little bit more room to throw out Q's now because of that extra range. He can Q, walk up to get a W or E, then walk back and still get a Q off. This allows for a lot of kiting potential, which is really important for a short-range single-target DPS mage like Ryze. When all his ranges were the same he could not do this without stuttering back, then stuttering forward to get the Q off.

When you play Ryze, rather than trying to do your combo at the max range of Q, start by using Q at max range (or close to max range), then walking forward to get your W or E off, then continue your combo. You will be able to pull your high damage comboes a lot more often, and may also learn to kite a lot better with Ryze as well.

they actually made this change a few patches back. It used to be that all his spell ranges were the same. They were all where w-e are right now. So they buffed him by making his q range slightly higher. I agree its a bit awkward, but technically speaking it was a buff from where he was previously. now he's just nerfed to the ground after this last patch... which frankly im ok with cause i never played him anyway.

Oh no! it requires an irkling of skill to play Ryze!

Besides this just enforces a way you should be playing Ryze due to cast animations, even if it's all on the same range you'd want to cast a spell, take a step closer, cast next spell etc. because chances are your opponent will not be standing in place and is not planning on doing so after the snare wears off.

On the note of fixing his abilities, can we fix ryze's w, cause when I chase with ryze and try to proc my W, I keep stuttering and don't Keats the spell

I think they should lower it by 25 to 50 so that when you Q, you can instantly combo with your other spells. current: 625 Proposed 600-575 Also another thing would be to make his spells gain range point invested.

I'm prescribed Vyvanse for my ADD. Long story short the meds give me OCD. Everytime I play Ryze I spend too much time pressing Q, W, and E; and just stare at the un-evenness

PLEASE DEAR DORIOTO TEAM FIX THIS
