I worked a whole year to get from Bronze to Gold. Then I get placed back in bronze on my 12th game.

So hey, I won 7/10 placements! Yay! Silver 2 from gold 5? That seems reasonable. Win my first game and get 26 lp? That's a lot, but hey - I'll take it. Lose my next game the following day and BOOM. You have been placed in bronze 2. BRONZE. FUDGING. TWO. I know this isn't the worst case of it, but for someone who can't play a lot, and took the whole year to climb from bronze to gold last season, this is extremely upsetting. It's like all the work I sunk into this game, all the trolls who inted and told me to stop playing ranked, all the 0-17 bot lanes I carried or didn't, all the time and effort I put into a video game, (and all for a golden ring around my loading screen and a pretty skin for someone I don't play), gone. Even though I won 8/12 games. Remind me again why I even play this game? For a rank that just resets every season because I don't play enough to climb that little bit further? Oh wait, it increases competition, I forgot. By making me, a Gold who is now a Bronze apparently, play against Diamonds. That's not competition, that's slaughter, fun for 5/10 players. Sorry Riot, that's what Bot Games are for. But that's just flex queue right? NOPE. By the time your solo queue placements start, your flex queue rank (which they just dropped one and a half tiers), is "taken into consideration". So basically, not only is my rank that I earned over a year of the worst ranked system to come out of Riot being tossed in the trash, my new, better ranked system rank will drop to the same because I can't win games against Diamond Vaynes with unlucky placements going 20-0 against my silver duo bot lane.

The drop is healthy, but not this much, and the people who work harder for their ranks i.e. the high ELO players, shouldn't be punished MORE than the one's who haven't just because they have more room to drop. It seems like your forgetting that those ranks your dropping them are ranks they worked through, day by day, and earned. FIX. YOUR. SYSTEM.
