We've all been there: playing League for the first time, thinking we understand how the game works. But we've also done stupid things that we thought made sense at the time. So my question is: What's a stupid thing you did when you were new to League. For me, I used to buy 6 trinity forces, thinking that since it was the most expensive item, it had to be the best!

Coming from primarily a World of Warcraft background, I never played MOBAs before AT ALL.

I literally started Brawler's Gloves on Malphite because he attacked with his hands.

I remember getting absolutely pissed that respawn timers got so long as the game went on. I had no idea that the timers were supposed to get longer as it gets later in the game. I thought it was based on how many times you died.
As you can probably guess from the fact that it pissed me off, I died a lot.
Get Runaan's on everyone.
That was back in season 3 where Runaan's was new and kinda garbage.

where I bough Ruunans Hurricane when I saw she made 2 bolts each attack I bought it on my second champ

I had played DotA1 before playing league so I didn't do anything too stupid to begin with.
I played Wukond and was think thet getting a little of every stat is best strategy, so I build 
and all random stuff
I played Smite beforehand, thinking "Ok, I'll just get to level 30 quick and wreck low ELO"
Lol people are so much better at League than they are at Conquest in Smite.
And I bought the hardest champs I could, and a bunch of them are currently underpowered, have such a high skill ceiling I can't use them in norms, or got gutted RIGHT AFTER I BOUGHT THEM. (AZIR AND VLAD)
Or people hate them. (Ekko and Koggles)
Saving gold so I could get better items in the next game.
Haha, these are all hilarious. I also remember thinking that Zed's ult was useless and weak, since I didn't know how to play him at the time. I remember one game in particular where it went on for an average game time, and I didn't use my ult once as Zed, thinking it didn't do anything.
I thought that melee weapon images (all the swords) wouldn't work on ranged champions.
You can imagine my terrible ADC builds. :D

But those naive times of league of legends were probably the best. Every item looked awesome, I read many passives on my first day playing . Now its like oh, this is infinity edge, but it's still cool.
Building full health regen so I would regen more than they could damage me in a battle. Obviously I didn't knew I had to be Mundo to do that.
I didn't buy Sightstone while playing support.
I do now but, 12 minutes in.

Ay same. I bought Tri-Force on every single champion XD
I also didn't know what AP and AD was so I just bought Infinity Edge and Bloodthirster on everyone. Also didn't know you could right click to cancel your commands so I just kept pressing x+right click, died frequently to turrets. Did not know there was a on sale system so I bought Fizz and Ziggs with RP when they were full priced, cause I'm dumb. Bought Atlantean Fizz cause I thought it looked cool, oh how wrong I was.
I'm a new player so here's a list of (probably) god damn STUPID things i did/honestly still do whOOPS
-Saved up to buy quinn with ip while she was in free champ lineup because she was fun. Now i don't play her.
-Built Soraka as a support, tried to play her as adc/vice versa. Cs the hell outta minions and pissing of the real adc and wondering why they were so mad because i didnt even know what csing was.
-NEVER bought componets, always saved up for the more advanced items
-aimed for the items that cost 3000-4000 from the start (T-T)
