A small change that could bring us out of "tank" meta
As we all know tanks are incredibly powerful at the moment, with the reintroduction of cinderhulk/juggernaut, tank junglers have been raining supreme (even making its way up for top laners who have smite). It has made it a lot more difficult for assassins and full damage characters who aren't fed to do anything against them. i cant even tel you how many times I've gone tank/trinity
and have been ulted by a
only to walk away without taking much of any damage. That being said i love playing hyper tanks and have enjoyed their power spike, i just feel they have become out of balance and too strong.
My solution is simply this, we modify ignite so it does percent health rather than flat damage. the flat damage scaling as it does is great against assassins and adcs, but against a tank, it really just prevents healing and doesn't manage to do much of anything for damage (not to mention many tanks can activate a shield that will neutralize most of the damage).
If ignite cooked down 10% of anyone's health over the same amount of time, it would have the similar effect against nontanks; though against tanks it would noticeably get rid of a portion of their health, not getting rid of their effectiveness entirely, but allowing damage oriented characters to be able to actually kill tanks without help. (not that they always need it, but if a full tank can out duel just about any damage carry 1v1 i think there is a slight issue)
Sidenote: this change would make it so your ignite would scale with your enemy's health rather than your level, so it would be a better catch up tool if you fall behind.
TL:DR (Its not that long just read it, but for the lazy people) Ignite should burn people by percent health over the same amount of time, making it more useful against tanks
Please let me know what you think, if this is the next way to change the meta around or if this is a terrible idea and tanks should stay dominant.
with say 3500 health and have it not even dent her health bar , it'd have to be a small percentage but it'd make ignite feel useful in a fight against her rather than just slightly reduce healing (which isn't even a big factor with her and a lot of popular tanks).
