Should Teemo ever get re-worked into a viable champion that would actually make it into the meta?

To start off: I completely understand that Teemo is a champion that many loathe, many love, and many play.[leblanc-funny]

So I do play Teemo quite a bit because to me he is fun and comical and I love his lore but he feels very out of place no matter the position or lane that I play him in. At this point I can only safely say he has any real good use in Twisted Treeline at this point.

I propose that Teemo needs and deserves a proper rework and part of it I believe should be a more complex ultimate (Think something like Kha'zix where it can be upgraded or choose another ability to upgrade) that still operates similar to how it does not but has better trade offs instead of the same design they are currently at. (Between Duskbladeitem 3147 , Sweeping Lenseitem 3341 and it's upgrade Oracle Alterationitem 3364 , and Control Wardsitem 2055 his shrooms and passive have become quite mootsummoner 31 .)

His Blinding Assault (Q) also needs a rework as unlike Quinns Blinding Assault (Q) his Blinding Dart (Q) does not cause anything other than missed basic attacks while hers has an actual blinding effect to it.

His Move Quick (W) and Toxic Shot (E) seem to be fairly well balanced currently but if he is supposed to be a Marksman then shouldn't his Toxic Shot (E) and Blinding Dart (Q) scale off of AD as well as AP? I believe that Teemo's kit should give the user the choice of building into an AD Marksman (Despite his very low range compared to ranged ADC's in the bottom lane nowadays.), a hybrid of AD and AP, or into a burst damage AP heavy stealth nightmare.

Should he be? Yes. Absolutely. His current kit is archaic, badly designed, and revolves around making the enemy top laner feel miserable for 8 minutes until they get an MR item, stabilize their farm income, and eventually outscale Teemo's usefulness.

Will he? No. Absolutely not. Why? Because of his playerbase. They want Teemo to stay as he is right now because he's a fucking meme and that's hilarious. To appease the playerbase, Riot would inevitably keep the kit very similar, meaning if the Q doesn't get turned into a line skillshot, it will stay single target while something else has it's skillcap "raised".

His whole lore ties around being a solo scout that goes on missions. Do you think it would be wise to turn him into a teamfighting champion without revising all of his lore and taking the teemo out of teemo?

Edit: Because that's the only way Teemo would ever be viable outside of solo queue. His damage, and scaling are just fine if not overtuned. and AD teemo is already really high damage the last thing he needs is extra scaling from AD.

I really wish he got an update to be a more interesting champion. I love the stealthing around and map control parts of his kit but he just kind of sucks to play overall.

I would agree that he needs a rework but I just fear that with reworking him they would do more damage then what's healthy if you know what I mean. Plus no one really wants to see him Meta actually lol

Only his Q should be reworked. He needs better teamfight utility. Blind really kinda sucks because it's not safe for Teemo to get in range to blind the enemy ADC most of the time.

I hope nothing else in his kit gets changed. I think his mushrooms are fine as is because they provide extra map control so there should be a lot of counters. The problem is he's too weak in teamfights and too dependent on his mushrooms being effective. He just needs another thing going for him besides just the mushrooms.

Every champ SHOULD be competitively viable, or at least set up to be able to be without being toxic for solo queue. That should be the ultimate goal for Riot with these reworks.

Honestly, Teemo could make a fine midlaner. The scout thing being able to freely roam and remain hidden should be this thing (sorry Eve i love you, kiss on the cheek). I can't see him as a marksman while being a scout. Imo he should be an assassin. A real one.Not something that will wait until you pass in the bush and AA Q AA AA and boum you dead.

Only thing to be removed imo is how often he can blind, as that does an absurd amount already

Not every champ needs to be in the meta. He does a good job as an annoying counterpick and thats fine

I remember when Hai took him mid for C9 and dominated TSM. Teemo was nerfed shortly after lolz.
