[Suggestion] A ping test button on the matchmaking screen

Instead of creating a brand new custom game to test ping, it'd be nice if there were a convenient little button there during matchmaking; to make sure that your ping isn't erratic for some reason or another. Having such a feature there would allow people to sort out their connection before they get into a match, rather than scrambling to fix it during the first few minutes of the match. I believe this would offer a minor improvement to the quality of all matches; as nobody likes playing with erratic ping, or losing because one of their teammates is having connection issues

It'd be really nice c:

Just follow these instructions:

1: Press the Windows key and the R key at the same time (Windows key is usually near the alt and ctrl key on the bottom left of your keyboard) 2: Once you do this it should open a small window called "RUN", type in cmd inside and press enter or click ok 3: CONGRATS you have opened up your command prompt, now type in "ping www.google.com" or whatever website of choice

4: Pinging ************************ with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=63ms TTL=85 Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=64ms TTL=85 Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=62ms TTL=85 Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time=62ms TTL=85

5:The area that says time is your ping, congrats summoner (ie time=63)

We can take this a step further and punch in Riot's IP address (104.160.131.1) to get an exact ping to particularly Riot's server. Won't be a huge difference, but it will give you the number that matters.

Cheers!

Hopping in and out of practice tool takes no longer than 2 minutes, although I agree with your suggestion

While this is true. The factors affecting latency change considerably from bots and prac to norms.

I've dont bots with lovely ping only for it to go nuts in a norm. This and ping tests online don't give u latency to riots servers.

Pressing a button takes you a second. Why waste so much time just to check your connection?

And while we are on the topic, Does anyone know why do I have INPUT LAG?

My ping and FPS and everything in the game runs super smooth and there's no delay or anything at all, But my character will freeze and have INPUT lag only even though my FPS & Ping & Internet are perfectly fine.

NOTE: This only happens in League Of Legends, I tested my ping in other games, and they run so smooth, I even tried HotS thinking perhaps MOBA games have different kind of servers, Yet it runs super smooth. I would be very grateful If someone from Riot Games could notice this and make me see a notification from a Riot Employee as a reply on this comment as I shall refresh Boards Page every 10 minutes.

I've brought this up before, you can check my profile and how well it all went over XD. But yeah still on board with the concept.

Anywho, I agree, but it can't be in the champ select screen. It should be located somewhere on the client, preferably always on and passively giving you the exact ping.
