MMR seperation

I know that your MMR for ranked and normals is the same, but honestly I think it's really dumb that this is a thing. I honestly believe your MMR should be account based, but mode based. Am I salty right now, yes, yes I am. I'm sorry, but my warm up match shouldn't include getting dumpstered by a diamond player when I'm really low elo. No one would ever consider this fun.

Normals is games to try new things and champs, ranked is where you put yourself up to find how where you truely stack up against the community. Having the highest ranked person on my team be a Silver III against 2 golds, a plat, a diamond shouldn't ever happen, normal or not. How can you learn from your mistakes when all you do is get shit on.

I'm not 100% sure on what goes on in dynamic queue to select who goes against whom, but as someone that solo qs, just put me up with teams that somewhat have a chance against one another. Not people that are several divisions apart from one another. Put me against people I have a chance against, I'll make mistakes and realize it and learn from it. Putting people against someone that you clearly don't have a chance with. WHY? No one is going to learn in an environment like that. I get that I have a lot to learn, and I accept that.

Normal=/=Ranked the MMR is different. They do NOT have the same MMR value. (Last i checked)

Which is the point I disagree on. I think it's stupid that they are separated. Should just be account based, not mode based.

In general, I agree with you... Do you happen to kow what the 5th person on the other team was?? If he was a low level.. like 15 or less, the matchmaker really seems to have some problems dealing with that... So you get weird results like this

(Keep in mind I'm going with S5 rankings because not everyone was ranked for this season and it always puts you lower so you have something to climb to) The teams were this:

-My team- Silver III Bronze I Unranked Bronze III Silver V

VS

-Enemy Team- Plat IV Gold V Diamond V Silver III Gold V

Even if it's normals, this kind of difference shouldn't happen. If MMR was account based and not mode based, things like this wouldn't happen. I'd like to do normals to get warmed up, not to get shit on.

I see what you are trying to say, but you should word it differently. What you are basically asking for is to make normals mmr reflect ranked mmr. This would be a decent idea, but wouldn't work too well, because if you are a player that plays both ranked and normals you would know that both environments are very different. One is really competitive and the other is more relaxed with no hard feelings. So this also changes how a player will play. Making the difference in performance noticeably different for both. Another problem is losing out on the opportunity to grow from facing players better than you, and learn a variety of skills from normals.

I get what you're saying, and yes I agree for the most part. Playing against better players makes you better. However, if the skill difference is massive, it's hard to take anything out of it other than frustration.
