Placed in Iron

I got placed in Iron 4 60 LP when I went 20/8/12 and won as Ashe in my first game. Did the default MMR get lowered? When I won another one, I gained 58 LP. Assuming that each win in placements is around 50-60 LP, and you get 60 LP each match, you still only get 600 LP winning all your placements. With 600 LP, you would still only place in Bronze II 0 LP without skipping. Do you skip divisions if you do good? I went 14/2/1 for my second win, but I didn't skip and got Iron 3 8 LP. Is this a bug with the new ranked system? Or is it intentional?

Hi Homeless,

There have been some known issues involving improper placements and low LP gains ever since the most recent update. As it's still the preseason, these things should be ironed out before Season 9 begins on January 23rd. I would use this time to become familiar with the current changes, and less towards LP gains as only your hidden MMR will change (slightly).

Why do you care, the system is made intentionally to grind the game... Especially, the promos. The whole lp stuff is meaningless when if you win a lot, will get placed against players in way higher division than you - just because you have the same MMR as them.
