Poachers Knife idea: long range effect
Hi there, I got some ideas for the poacher's knife, though I don't know if these have been proposed before. What do you think of the following?
-
You have the capability to use smite at a very long range (think of it as a blue ward) over and ONLY on an enemy jungle camp, instead of dealing damage it gives vision of the monsters and their surroundings at the first second, then the vision range is reduced considerably. Three scenarios can happen when long range smiting:
-
If there are monster in that camp and no jungler: a debuff mark (maybe a DoT or extra damage on hit) is applied for a limited time. (Opponent has the possibility to realize that their camp has been marked before enemy arrival, so he has the opportunity window to counter the invade and ask for assistance).
-
If there's monster camp and enemy champion, he/she gets marked for vision for a brief time.
-
If there's nothing, well nothing happens, smite is consumed anyway.
-
If smite is used at short range, then it works as the current poachers knife smite.
There's possibility to steal a jungle camp at the enemy face by spending two smites (long range and a short range). Would like to hear you opinions or modifications to this concept (something besides that this look 2 stronk on lee sin/shaco/godyr).
My idea here is that is to give poacher knife smite a long range functionality. This smite is balanced by the fact that spending 2 smites on the same jungle is something expensive in cooldown timers, but also a choice, as you can keep with the invade by using the second smite on another camp. Also the long range smite doesn't deal flat the 390-1000 true damage.
