Something is bugging me about Yasuo's wind wall.

So I just wanted to bring this up and I'm not sure if others will agree but let me just state this. Yasuo's wind wall has a tool tip that states that it blocks enemy projectiles but i have seen it block many other abilities that really don't sound like they are projectiles. These abilities include but are not limited to Malphite's seismic shard which states the shard goes through the ground, Evelynn's hate spike which also travels along the ground, gragas' barrel (debatable), Zyra's grasping roots which also states that it travels beneath the ground, etc. this just doesn't seem consistent with the way the abilities are described. I understand that mechanically these abilities are qualified as projectiles but it just doesn't seem that this should be the case, it seems to me that abilities of this nature should bypass the wall completely. this is just my opinion but I would welcome feedback on it, lemme know if you agree or not or what you think about it.

The only problem I have with windfall is that it blocks abilities no matter which direction they are fired from.

That also seems like a good point although if there is a wall and I shoot at it I would think its not softer on one side than the other so I'm not sure I can agree with that.

I said yes, and here is why. I am a yasuo main, but I will do my best to remain unbiased. Here's the way I see it; most of the abilities you mentioned are iffy when it comes to being classified as "projectiles," but the physics of them all are that they are all a "physical" type ability. I think windward should block these types of abilities. What I could possibly see as being a viable nerf to windwall could be that more abilities that are classifiable as magic type abilities, i.e. Lux ult, could pass through windward since magic in its very definition is the defying of possibilities within the physical realm.

I can see your point on that and I agree that "laser" type attacks or focused magic attacks should be considered able to bypass the wind wall. I just have one comment to make then specifically about abilities that travel beneath the earth as their tool tips put it such as Malphite's seismic shard and that is unless the wind wall somehow penetrates beneath the earth then how does it block such attacks? Additionally the attacks mentioned above do magic damage and not physical damage although I can understand where you are coming from in that some abilities i.e. seismic shard do have physical aspects to them (rocks). I appreciate your feedback and thanks for your vote.
