Isn't anyone gonna talk about the terrible MSI missions?

I mean, come on. A bunch of useless missions for 50 xp and 200 blue essence, and once you finish them you get.... an emote. It feels really lackluster compared to all of the hype missions from other events - is it too much to ask to get something more interesting, like I don't know, icons to support our teams? What if I don't support FNC, and don't have any money until the MSI event is over? It just feels like a really last-minute "We'll slap this in" [slayer-jinx-unamused]

I got orange essence and 2 hextech chests, 1 of them contained Spirit Guard Udyr (which I already have, but hey, tons of more orange essence).

So I am extremely satisfied with the outcome of the missions, thank you.

You can get chests and orange essence from them? So far I've only gotten missions with blue essence as rewards.

There are 10 missions, 1 of them gives 220 OE, 2 of them give a hextech chest, another 2 give a hextech key.

Getting 2 chests for these missions seems fair for me.

I hear this word "Free" get bandied out a lot when it comes to complaints of this nature. Let me be clear: The rewards from missions are not "free". Players spend time playing League to earn those mission rewards. Time is not an unlimited thing. Everybody only gets a certain amount. So if they are going to spend that time on something, it shouldn't be as lackluster as what these MSI missions are

Meaning of free: costing nothing, or not needing to be paid for.

You don't pay anything for them so they are free. Call me when time becomes a currency. It's not unlimited, yes, but time is first not a currency so you can't use it to buy things and time by itself is free. Plus that I play lol not only when there are missions but when I do I do the missions too (I don't really try to do them). Does that mean that lol is not free? You first need to understand what free means. Yes it's time consuming but it's free.

I spend time yes but I can't get nor lose it. 24 hours and after the day is over I can't get them back but I can do whatever I want in this 24 hours before the next days starts. Time is abstract. We are always spending time and we are always getting something done. God... IDK if I can reason with this... This guy just told me time is a god damn currency.

Definition of currency 1 a : circulation as a medium of exchange

we use time as a medium of exchange in order to obtain paper currency (money) so technically yes, time is a currency

My FREE chests had Dunk Master Darius and Black Scourged Singed, I don't play either, but maybe I'll learn Darius and convert the skin...
