Why does Kha'Zix get snared if he leaps over a caitlyn trap.

Caitlyn's traps are both spring-loaded and have a joint heat- and motion-detecting laser hidden inside the cupcake, which is capable of detecting airborne organisms up to 50 feet into the air. The second something activates the sensor, the trap launches into the air to grab it.

Because this game is false 3D.

Z axis doesnt exists.

I believe it's the same as a tritana jump where your not invulnerable but just harder to click.

There is no Z Axis in this game. Jumps are actually just dashes.

why does Anivia get snared if she flys over it?

What I'm wondering about is why does this topic have so much downvotes. It's an odd problem that has persisted for the longest time. If Riot wants to fix it the old fashion way, they can make it so that jumping champs receive a buff while jumping that makes them ignore Caitlyn traps or Jhin traps. It's ugly and inefficient, but it's worth a try.

Jumps (like tristana jump, khazix jump, etc) are programmed as a dash. Anything that causes hard CC stops them in their tracks.

League doesn't have any systems for simulating changes in height, so jumps like Kha's and Tristana's are coded as dashes rather than blinks. The only exception, Poppy's ult making things untargetable, is very new in comparison and in her case it's meant to simulate them being thrown into the sky much higher than those jumps. It's archaic and lame, but those abilities take a dash's price out of the kit's power budget as opposed to that of a blink. Shyvana's ult got changed to make it unstoppable, but she definitely paid for it.

Better question, why do things that are snared by stuff that should hold them to the ground, get to keep their forward momentum during a dash when hit mid-dash, then use up the snare timer while in transit?

It doesn't work like that in real life, and if Riot is already worried about mobility creep, it would be a logical, and simple way of reducing it.

The same logic could be applied to Tristana's jump in a lot of scenario's.

Why does Tristana' get pulled by Blitzcrank if she's mid-way through the air and he hit the origin point?

I think it's just better to leave jumps/dashes/blinks as consistent.

There is no depth is league, it's merely and illusion.

The Deckowner2/28/2017, 5:34:07 AM1 votes

all dashes over traps trigger the traps, that is just how it is coded.

Calabok2/28/2017, 5:36:11 AM1 votes

Her traps have bait inside that Large bug creatures love. it is like catnip to them so they purposely spring the trap to get what's inside of it.

Why do I get stunned as Tristana when I rocket Jump over Viegar's e? or grabbed by blitz when I'm over his head lol

Dominick Destine2/27/2017, 4:10:18 PM1 votes

There is no Z axis. There is no "Jumping".

Tristana goes through the same..... obviously.

why can champions still jump a second after they get snared/stuned? ive seen it a milion times kha/tristana jumping away while the lux q obviously hit them.
