So what's the counter play to Sona?

Why do people in bronze consider her OP? I think she's a good pick especially paired with someone like Caitlyn, but when I think of an OP support she does not cross my mind. I'm seriously starting to see Sona mids and top that try to 1v5 the world though, and I only see them in bronze.

I'm unranked, so I get matched with people in bronze/silver for my normals, and it's one of the many things that's so bizarre to me. It's right up there with dragon and baron worship I see from bronze players.

Have you ever tried using any cc on her at all? because she drops like a fuckin dead fly.

In team fights. Kill her first, then the team will fall like dominoes is what I tend to find that works. If not, she will heal them and make sure they get away.

Everything because she only has her Q poke as possible actions during the entirety of the game.

Except she is probably one of the easiest supports to dumpster even once she gets her ultimate. I had like a 70% wr with her in s3 and I still consider her one of the more dangerous supports to play as. She may be scary once she hits that level 6, but she is so easy to poke out. Not to mention you can bait ults occasionally just by being super aggressive. Like blitz hooks but less scary.

Sona dies in 2-3 seconds to good burst.

i find braum can do decent damage on her if you can avoid poke. and morg sup with that spell shield...

I am a Zed main and having go up against is easily my most hated lane. (Besides , of course) I have found if you be as aggressive earlygame as possible then it is extremely easy to deal with her. Another good tip would be just building as first item, it may put you behind but it shouldn't be a problem as long as you're poking and denying her farm you should be fine and win your lane. I play Sona a lot and do quite well with her but even as someone that isn't ranked I can tell she has weaknesses. She really needs co-ordination with her ADC to actually use the poke she's famed for against most competent opponents. A lot of the time she gets outtraded early on if she uses her poke and takes the enemy's poke in retaliation. And while her sustain is nice it's very, very weak.

Sona does horribly against all-ins because she's made of paper, but she's also not an untouchable god in small trades. You just need to be clever and you can beat her at every game she tries to play.
