Severe imbalance for support players in Ranked

Hi,

So i've been playing league for around a year now and as soon as i hit 30 i was obviously eager to play in the ranked section of this game. After fulfilling my promo games (losing most of them and being placed in Bronze 1) i noticed the sheer unfairness that ranked play has on support players. I've always enjoyed support as my main role and have a wide selection of support players i can use. But this does not help the fact that when i get matched with complete idiots who don't know how to play their roles, or how to communicate and work as a team... It makes the entire game unfair and not worth playing. I've noticed a hell of a lot of other support players say the same thing. The frustration of playing this role is almost too much to bear and i've wanted to quit a number of times.

I know that obviously everyone has their fair share of bad games. But judging my the plays i make, the stats i get in game it seems very unfair to be dragged down by the rest of the team. Now i'm not talking about just a couple of defeats here.. I'm talking about almost an entire match history of losses, as a support character. There's 3 matches in which i've won in my current match history and they've all been standard match ups.

I'll probably get labelled as some little kid whining about losing, but honestly i'm just a player who's genuinely frustrated and had enough of the complete reliability that supports have on the rest of the team.. It's down to me to make good plays, but how can a good play be made if the rest of the team aren't following up on your actions?

I've got absolutely no clue on how this issue can be resolved, just wanted to get thoughts and views on what other peoples experience were in ranked support play?
