5.23 Minions OP!

So I'd just like to share a game I just played. We were 4 VS 5 and dominating the map. However, no matter how hard we won lanes, no matter how many kills we got over our opponent, no matter what we did, every lane would push against us over and over again. Even after taking an inhibitor, we were so far behind on average levels (even through we were ahead across the board on a one to one basis), we had to split our time between the remaining lanes. We could never group to win the team fights we knew we could win because we could never leave a lane alone long enough before the enemy minions were battering at our towers. Ultimately, we lost that game because our team of 4 people were constantly split up putting out fires all over the map where enemy minions were battering our structures. This game was an easy win because of how we were dominating, but the new winions ruined it for us... and Riot is calling this a comeback mechanic!?!?!?!?!?. Share your stories of lost games to the new winions. We need Riot to know how minion imbalances destroy the strategic balance of League.

Psh, 5.23 minions isn't even a whole minion wave.

To be fair, Riot aren't trying to balance the minions for the 4v5 case. I don't think they mind much given that the vast majority of them are losses.

I mean, it should just not include the AFK in the average level... I'm sure the average level of your 4 was higher than the average level of their 5.

I crashed in a ranked game earlier today and had to restart my computer to get in. It was around 10 minutes. I had 3000 ping so I was pretty much useless, just auto pushing the waves as they came in and hoping I got a cs and not ganked.

Long story short, I slew the mighty Nasus and my ping disappeared (he was tanking turret for 5 seconds but who cares, right?). We had taken 1 turret and we had all 3 inhibs down.

We sat in base for about 15 minutes straight farming. They took barons and dragons but we held out, and eventually we, after a lot of 3-for-3s and the like, took the ace during a teamfight and won the game. The cs did help, sort of.

Also, we had DrMundo and Jax. I guess that might've had something to do with it.

Anyway, new minions are definitely shoving monstrosities. Whether that's good or bad I can't really tell as of yet. But in some cases, they do help.

I've been posting for ages now.

If riot wants to implement a mechanic to aid struggling teams cs and prevent them them by being starved by stronger enemies freezing the lane away from tower that's cool and probably a good thing to address.

However this is an unbelievably bad way of going about it. It completely screws over 4v5s and invalidates an extremely important skill int he game; managing waves and setting up slow pushes.

As bad as it sounds, in no way should riot be balancing around 4v5s, because if theyre doing there jobs right, it should be un-winnable anyways.

You know what's not fun? Being stuck in my own minions trying to escape MF's ult. They die first, but I take 500 unneeded damage.

yes 4v5 wins are a lot tougher now . You could have the 5v4 team just defending and the minions would naturally push for them .

my main concern is what is the towers count... even if you have an inhib on one lane, if you have 0 turrets vs 2 in the other lanes, the other lanes have stronger minions by the coding :/ which sucks...

Shit. I just had a 4v5, I hard carried the game. They surrendered at 20, it was an easy win. Sona went afk at 1. I think it's still fine...

because if you're behind you shouldn't be able to push objectives even if you manage to win a teamfight.

nothing to say about getting pinned against wall by minions, or minions chasing you through the wave all the way to the fucking turret?
