Legit question about teammates

I want to have a legitimate talk about low elo play without it turning into a "git gud your trash" fest.

I recently went for 86LP S4 down to S5 0LP on an extremely losing streaking after climbing from B3 to S4 with over an 80% win rate. My gameplay hasn't changed 90% of my games i win my lane we all have a games we do bad in but not matter how good I do in lane no matter how many ganks i pull for my team leading to kills my teams almost always end up feeding out of control and costing us the game I am at a serious loss as to what to do when I can be winning my lane ganking for my teammates and then up losing games going some as good a 7-0-7 loss 15-6-23 loss 22-7-4 loss -10-3-10 loss. I feel like no matter how good I play i'll never back up to where I use to be when I played back in Seasons 3 and 4 cause I can never escape teammates like my presvious wu jungle i had a few days ago going 0-17 in less then 12 mins. Or a more recent game where I ganked for bot 3 times got kills all three times then go a combined 2-26 in 15mins I'd like to hear what some people have to say in a proper discussion and not just a troll fest.

I had a near 60% win rate and got to S2, I fear of falling back to S4.

I just had a swain top go 0/16 and an Ashe adc who won lane but went 4/11 or so.

Silver 2 is where alot of smurfs are at, or good players that played their placements.

Default answer: What do you want? Do you want to improve at the game? Or do you want to win every game? The two options aren't exclusive, but the focus you put on them is important. If you focus on winning, then you'll spend time blaming your teammates when you could have been improving yourself.

It's not your teammates. It's you. Your teammates are the reason you lose some games. I mean, 0-17 Wukong means the enemy team is up a ton of gold and experience, and it's difficult to come back from that much of a deficit. But that doesn't mean that game is a waste. You can still practice your last hitting, your wave management, predicting where the enemy is going to be, warding, playing from behind, etc.

I'm not telling you to git gud. People in challenger still whine about their teammates feeding occasionally (though certainly not as frequently as people at lower MMRs do).

So stop asking yourself "Why did I lose?" That question will tempt you to blame your teammates. Instead, say "What could I have done better?" "What mistakes did I make?" "What should I focus on during the next game?"

Sorry if this is repetitive, but I wanted to drive the point home. Since it's a mental issue, you can come up with various ways to encourage yourself. You could say you're going to buy a pack of cookies if you get at least 70 CS by 10:00. You can hang a sign on the wall above your computer that says "Blaming your teammates is always whining and rarely helpful." You could get a friend to sit down and watch your replays with you and analyze opportunities for improvement together. The opportunities are endless.

See this was the kinda responses I was hoping for I feel like I do a pretty good self evaluation of my games I do go back and watch a lot of my replays . I know my cs isn't bad avg 7.8 per min in mid and top lanes sometimes lil less depending on the game. I know my warding needs work but I usually play safe enough back to not get caught off guard often. One thing I've been trying to do is find people in high gold low plat to go over my games with cause most of my friends I play with are casual players and either don't play ranked at all or barely at all not taking it as seriously with no real drive to climb so its hard sometimes to get a lot of helpful advice. I know that there is plenty to work on otherwise I would be climbing at a faster rate and not dealing with these losing streaks. But I can't find an outlet to help find more specific points that I don't easily identify on my own.

You can spectate challenger players via the legacy client's ladder or watch streams on Twitch to get an idea of things other people are doing that you're not.

On a separate note, you don't necessarily have to be high rank to be able to point out issues. I peaked at Gold 4 myself, but I can still point out dozens of mistakes that challenger players make per game. I do enjoy spending lots of time spectating and analyzing though. If you want, you can add me in game, and I can spectate you and write a whole list of "opportunities for improvement" that I see. Of course, you won't agree with 100% of what I say, and it might not always be helpful. But it could provide the external perspective you're asking for.

How come you don't mention the games where you go 1-3 on Ziggs, 1-6 on Illaoi or 0-4 on Nautilus?

Or the games where you got carried when you feed 3-6-5 on Nasus and deal less damage than a bronze tank support, yet are allowed to win because of your team?

OP didn't say he was perfect. He said he was frustrated because he seemed to be doing everything correctly (winning lane and helping teammates) and yet was unable to transition those leads into won games. I mean, when you go 1-6 on a top laner (assuming the Illaoi game you mentioned was top), most people in Silver are able to say "I probably should stop feeding so much" and don't need to make a boards post about it.

As for mentioned I never said I was perfect I said I have my bad games too that nasus game i pulled 3-4 people to my lane which allowed my team to push objectives around the map and win the mismatches k/d/a isn't everything. That Naut game you point out the 4 deaths but not the fact that every time I died it was for an assist for my team being the full support tank top. 1-3 ziggs i was 1-0 till the 15min mark but nothing i could against a overly fed enemy team so i played safe and just sat back as it was a loss and ya I had a bad i-llaoi game started 1-0 got ganked fell behind tried to make the best of it for my team and failed it happens to all of us that wasn't the point of my post. There are games I carry and games I sacrifice for my team cause to me a win's a win. But since you were looking at my match history you see the overwhelming majority of my games are as my op stats. Never once did I say I solo carry every game I win and I have never had good teammates ever but it just seems to be that oddity to get vs the mass majority of my games being that of my OP. You seem to of missed the point of my post and wanting an actual discussion about the topic and not the bash fest you are trying to start.

if you aren't solo carrying every game you don't deserve to rise.

I was frustrated too. I am in plat 4. I used to be plat 2. How dare my team suck? How dare my team feed while I'm trying to carry them?

I just had a game where I was 9-3 at one point while literally every single lane was losing. I camped top, our top laner STILL LOSES AND GETS SOLO KILLED. No one should ever be getting solo killed after gaining an advantage, how dare they get solo killed? But it happened. We still lost the game. But in the midgame, we had a small comeback. And it was my personal failure to capitalize off that comeback (and shotcall to that effect) that resulted in the loss. You have to focus on your mistakes, otherwise you'll spend the whole game thinking about your teammates mistakes and won't notice your own.
