Smurfs the Advantages & Disadvantages.

Dear Riot,

So 1st off let me just start by letting you all know why I feel this is an issue; as an example when I was playing ranked the other day I went top lane as J4 JarvanIV who has recently received a slight buff but seeing as I'm only silver 3; I don't always have the best games =P. None the less though during this match I was up against a riven Riven (now not saying its hard to play riven or anything in silver but to play her mechanics perfectly in silver when your stats show that you play pretty much any role and other champions its pretty obvious that this person is a smurf.) So after getting bested by this obvious smurf in lane I let them know that I know and kindly (as kind as a super Pi**ed off person can) ask them to stop playing on a smurf account.

Now that is not the only time I feel that I have encountered a Smurf account in ranked but is there any way to actually punish these players or try and get rid of them because it honestly ruins the game I feel for both sides the side VS the Smurf and the team with the Smurf.

Advantages: -A super Challenge in that role when your VS them. -A free Win. (as long as that player is playing something that can hyper carry. (IE: RivenRiven )

Disadvantages: -A free Win. (You don't have to work as hard as you might of at your skill level when vs properly placed summoners.) -This Smurf summoner face rolls on you witch in return makes you pretty tilted and lose faith in the game. (leads to permanent Installation I feel) -An unjust loss. You could of won the game or at least your lane or had more of a chance of wining when facing appropriate placed summoners.

Now these are just a few I am sure there are more Advantages and Disadvantages that could be listed and Let me know what more there are that you think and also to Riot is there any way to remove them or punish players who do this in ranked? is it not in normal games blind pick were you can play and have fun if you like playing against people who do not have the same skill level as them? I just wish there was some way to balance this out.

There's not really much positive to smurfs. A lot of people like them on their own team because it leads to easy, unfair wins but everything else they bring is negative and leads to people getting frustrated with the game. They're also why the new player experience is trash.

That said... it's impossible to stop them. It's a free to play game. People can make as many new accounts as they want. There's no real way to stop it.
