Irelia rework mark mechanic in Champion Spotlight.

I've been watching the Irelia rework process and have seen different wordings for how her mark works. At one point it said targets were marked for 6 seconds, which might still be the duration but has now been clarified to "if the target was marked" further leading to the thinking that her mark should be consumed on a Q.

So theoretically the reasoning should be that she can reset her Q twice if she lands both her E and R in one combo for a total of 3 Q casts without a cooldown.

Yet it seems like the mechanic isn't clearly one way in the champion spotlight.

1:03: Irelia marks Darius, Swain, and Draven. She then Qs them and her marks are immediately consumed. 6 seconds does not pass.

3:35 Irelia is level 3 so she only has the ability to mark a target once. Irelia Qs Nautilus twice and you can see just before she autos him through flash for the kill that he still appears to be marked.

3:47 Irelia whiffs her E and them marks Camille with her ultimate. Irelia Qs Camille and the mark is still there. She Qs twice more but it kind of looks like Irelia may have Qed minions here. However the first Q was definitely onto Camille and she was still marked.

4:05 Irelia marks Ashe with her ultimate and Qs her. The mark doesn't appear to be consumed. Irelia marks Ashe again and also applies it to Rakan with her E. She then kills Ashe and Qs Rakan without consuming the mark.

Is it possible these two different sections of clips were taken at different points in her rework process?

TL;DR Irelia's mark is consumed by her Q in the abilities preview at the start and is not consumed in the clips afterwards.

I would be very interested to get an official answer on this if possible. Thanks!

Hm at a guess I would just say Irelia can only get 1 Q reset per marked target. I see what you're saying though how it looks like the mark gets consumed in the earlier part of vid and not immediately consumed in the latter when Q'd. I hope they make her consume the target for clarity reasons.

In game the way how it works is that her E and R both apply a mark to all targets hit for up to 6 seconds, hitting a target with Q consumes that mark. If multiple enemies are hit then the marks act independently, IE you can mark 3 enemies with R, Qing to one of them will remove the mark only on that enemy. I can't tell you exactly what was going on in the video, but in the game this is what happens. The mark is also visually removed.
