"Is this game winnable?"

Alot of you have seen the video above, right? Recently I played a game as Ahri & in champ select, I had an mf autolocking as jungler & a toxic lulu who wanted adc but locked in sup because of the mf jungler. At this point i had already accepted defeat. It seemed like that was going to happen too. The Kayle was feeding, I would've dominated my lane if not for the jungler Pyke safeguarding the enemy mid, & Lulu was talking shit. Lulu & Kayle wanted to ff 15, but thankfully the mf & Urgot on my team voted no. ...& then, it was comeback time. We all started getting fed, Kayle & Urgot especially. The enemy team was getting really cocky. Even though the enemy Pyke got a pentakill & they took Baron, it didnt change the fact that they were cocky & we took them down one by one. Next thing you know we win the game. Idk how it was possible but we did. & that make me think about this video. Have any of yall been in a situation like this? I wanna hear stories <3

The game in the video was never anywhere close to being unwinnable. I know some people are way over the top and claim a game is unwinnable after first blood, but that doesn't make this game even close to what a reasonable person would call unwinnable. It was 3-1 towers at 20 mins and they had a winning lane while the other team had scaling issues being full AD. Not only was this game not "unwinnable" i would probably argue they're the favorites to win around the 20 min mark.

Yea, I have a one. Game starts, team feeds. 15 minutes in it's 3-27, I say we should ff, team refuses, they say we can win. 15 minutes later, game is 7-39, team refuses to ff, enemy team kills us all and kill our Nexus. The end.

Comebacks like that almost never happen. There are too man evenish winnable games so one game like that is not worth the stress. Games like that, I want to ff. I don't give two fucks about the 0.0005% we can win.

Just this morning. Enemy team had a fed LB, Jinx and Yi with Sona as backup, their Teemo got absolutely rekt though cause I camped him and blew him up with AP Shyv.

We lost a Baron (to a solo Yi of all things), multiple drakes, two inhibs and our nexus turrets. We pulled it together just long enough to stop their back door attempts, steal a Baron on the second spawn and then bum rushed mid after catching them out a couple more times. If I had the chat logs to share, you'd see I did not for one second think it was winnable, but we did it. I was absolutely stunned.

Look at the graph too. They took a MASSIVE lead from grouping and catching us out around the 10 minute mark. We are on the defensive for the next 30 minutes, only pulling ahead at the very end. They had more ward coverage, sprees, and slightly more gold and definitely pulled more damage. We just had more cc and damage to back it up.

Click on Yi and LB and you'll see both tried to back door and end and didn't wait for their team.

I think this proves a couple things, at least for me;

  1. You can get all the kills and still lose bad. People just don't understand this. TEAM WORK is important. My team did not flame each other or blame. We were collectively bummed we were losing but nobody raged. I believe that's a HUGE reason we were able to win.

  2. The Enemy is only human. They can still make mistakes, you just have to be willing to look for them and exploit them. Look at the above match history, THE LEAD WAS GIGANTIC. We closed it by not getting caught out as much as the game progressed.
