Will Matchmaking ever find true balance?
As a support player returning from season 1-2, I have noticed through my climb from iron 4 to gold 1 (now demoted to gold 2) that this season is a lot of "yeah we lost in matchmaking." as i call it. often times i look at my team and somehow my top laner will be 30 cs down, my jungle will be 1/7, and my midlaner is raging at how riven has come to his lane 30 times yet our own jungler is still farming. as a support i personally feel at this point i can do nothing but lose. i try my hardest, end positive in most cases yet still lose. my winrate went from 80% to 52.5% from gold 4 to gold 1 and oddly enough even though i'd never demoted before gold. as soon as i hit gold i began only getting 19 lp, losing 19 lp while still facing gold 1 to plat players on average. i got to platinum promos, lost, lost some more, hit zero lp and instantly demoted. my question is, why is my mmr so low? why are my teammates doing so poorly? how did they end up higher than me with lower winrates? does anyone have an explanation? thank you
