Rengar top isnt fun to play against.
Having to sit at your tower and wait for jungle ganks with no counterplay outside of you picking quinn or a tank is super cool and fun.

Teemo is hilariously good against him as well. Wait until you jumps at you from bush to hit Q and negate virtually 100% of his damage and run away. Continue to poke and deny CS. At level 6 it gets even better because you can shroom his bushes so he can't even go in them to proc his passive unless he wants to lose 1/3 of his health.
Combating rengar top is all about wave manipulation to give him as little use of his passive as you can.
Okay so who do you normally play against him? Chances are if you take someone with good sustain like 
, they can usually just outlast him if you trade with him, there are also some characters that can just outright slap the fuck out of him, like 
most of these characters can either outlive him, or have a way of fucking over his Q, which is his main source of damage, there are also certain items like 
, along with just more health in general will allow you to deal with his bursting, hope this helps.
I main Nasus, and Yorick so Rengar top is not an issue for me, I can easily outlast him in a fight, he just dies if he tries to fight me past 6. Rengar is all about burst his sustain is quite low, so if you survive the burst you basically win.
